What FPS games do we play?

I'm curious to know what other FPSs us TWCers like.
We could even consider setting up some community matches, or even a clan.
Whadya think?

i also watch (only watch) some good CS matches.
And loved the single player of Far Cry (best single player ever)

Operation Flashpoint. The tactical possibilities on the endless islands are very huge. Due to the superb mod support it's still my favourite fps. And it will never be beaten until ofp2.

I think it's about 4 years to late for a clan though. *tongue*

Yeah, I nearly put OPF down, but its to be honest....getting pretty ancient. I saw a copy for 2quid the other day lol.

Also, if a clan does get going, I think we should pick a fairly good tactical game, not something run-and-gun.

I'm gonna load us X-Fire again, that might be useful for such a clan.

Call of Duty: United Offensive is just awesome!

You missed the various flavours of Medal of Honor off the list, though. Despite the bad press Pacific Assault received in some quarters, it's very good, even if it doesn't quite have the playability of Spearhead, which is the benchmark for multiplayer FPS IMHO.

TWC clan sounds kinda fun, but as a loyal {**9**}*Niner* I would have something of a conflict of interests.

UO is definatly worth getting. The multiplayer aspects are so fun. The maps are alot bigger, and with the vehicles, but theres only two kinds, so it doesnt throw off the balance. At the moment, I think a CoD TWC fun clan is one of the best options.....although Battlefield is tempting, since it has quite alot of tactical depth when you get a group who communicate well.

I have to say the BF series because of everything it let you do. I really like big tank battles or dog fights with vintage or new age planes and heli's. The diversity in maps and types of maps (ie capture the flag) was also a bonus for me....

Even tho I rarely play fps at the moment, been playing Cossacks 2 and Silent hunter III alot lately but I always end up playing Call of duty UO when I got nothing to do.

FPS games are boring at best but i'll say CS:S even though i rarely if ever play it and only because i'm in a friend's clan.

I used to be hardcore into Unreal Tournament until i realized you needed to be on crack to be any good. I also liked Quake 1 a lot but i hate all the sequels.

REALLY fast paced FPS are very annoying. DoD, BF1942, and CoD are all good but i can't get into them.

Yeah I'm really beginning to hate these FPS on steroids games myself actually lol.

But this thread has got me thinking, as a community we are big. We all have different tastes in games, and it might be interesting to use the community as a platform for getting some teams/clans in a variety of genres.

The only one I play is America's Army. It's quite unique and others hardly seem worth my time after playing it.

I don't know where to vote, CS and CoD are my favorites and CS:S would be among them but my comptuer isn't decent enough to handle it. I'm not playing ANY FPS right now though, haven't in 2 months.

Battlefield 1942 all the way! (although its getting a bit dated and vietnam just was not as fun) I cant wait for Battlefield 2 to come out in a month or so, It looks to be killer.
