Haha no, though that would've been amazing !

I played with Baron Samedi's submod and for some reason, Gandalf the White became available to join my faction quite early in the game. I think it's part of the submod where he becomes available when Gandalf (the Grey) is killed, but I thought he would stay with the Free Peoples. Still, he has an amazing amount of movement points on the map, so it was a very nice addition to my generals.

EDIT: wow Enarec, that's brilliant. I guess you could just use all the horse corpses to dam the river now eh !

Wow that's pretty epic, so the last screen was another attack from the forces that retreated? What was that large enemy army on the other side of Osgiliath? :o

Not quite, that was the other 3 invasion stacks that werent in contact with the city that made a follow-up attack. And thanks! I was hoping for a more epic conclusion, but when the enemy are all commanded by 9 star generals (and faramir has 5) I'll take what I can get.

I guess whenever theres a 3rd army attacking E. Osgiliath, it ends up in the city on the west end of the river. So in the final screenshot that was an army from rhun. The 3rd army it seems never crosses the river unless provoked, so either directly attacked or if you move men to the river bank itself

Thanks!! My campaign was a little odd....this was at turn 137 or so and was the first major offensive move by mordor, and I ended up slaying 3 nazgul (whose names I don't recognize ) between two consecutive battles there. I think one started with an a, but dwaw or dwar has yet to show his little hooded face

Those are some nice screenshots and the last two gave me a good laugh. Unfortunately the second attacking army always spawns there, reminiscent of the Persian flanking expedition into the mountain pass at the battle of Thermopylae. Has anyone found a way to fix that? Do deployment zones have to be changed?

Good screenshots, The last was very funny. :L hopefully the deployment zones for allied armies on custom settlements will be fixed in the next patch. It Would allow for some truly epic battles.

I love to see my enemies being pierced by hundreds of arrows when they are attempting to cross the bridge. I prefer defence battles though, as when I fight with e.g. High Elves against OotMM the orcs just stay on the other side and I win the battle with my archers. So the only thing that player needs to do is allowing fire at will and making game speed 6x. Booooring. But when I defend, bridge battle becomes a pleasure. That "heroic" feeling when one unit of my spearmen/swordsmen stands ground against thousands of orcs while archers do shish kebab from them... Priceless And nice screens DinoMight

Turn 52 of the woodland elves(silvan), my main force caught elsewhere. This is just a few turns after I had taken Aman Lanc. I repositioned my main force way too quickly it seems. The defense for Aman Lanc Begins.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

Outnumbered 4 to 1 with a 1 star general who just got done with puberty. Great. I want Legolas or my King, and I get this dope. I figure, if I can kill enough of these troops it might hurt Mordor's constant threat/attack on me so, my goal is to kill as many as I can before I get eaten. My main army was back on the way, and I figured I might be able to hold off the remaining Mordor invasions with my main force once I retake Aman Lanc after I lose it in this battle.

I come to the conclusion that the best bet is to try and defend the choke. Best not to get surounded. Anyway my elven archers will completely stomp everything. And they can buff the front line with volley of arrows on these heavy infantries. It might synergize well and work out for me.

Eager fighters, they come very quickly which I thought was gonna be amazing for me, but it ultimately didn't matter one bit simply because that was heavy infantry and black numenoreans and they had a skirmish for a solid 6 minutes before anyone died

Reinforcement for the heavy infantry in the front line came. But all in all, I'm doin pretty well at this point. The choke is proving to be a great equalizer. However, I'm quickly running out of arrows and their strong infantry line just is just resisting the arrows really well. I've gotten rid of their archers in the meantime as well.

Their main force has arrived and it seems this one will take a bit. The entire time I'm waiting for a few men to fall, and the entire force comes crushing me like a wave. All but 1 stack of archers has run out of arrows. Time for all to be in melee.

My other line tired, so I decided to send my General in sensing victory near. Volley of arrows from my elite archer group still raining down in the backline, and my general and his bodyguards in the front line. Absolutely nothing could stand up to this. I destroyed the enemy general, then a solid 3 minutes later, the remaining 150 orcs routed. My general absolutely beasted this orc line. It was really badass to watch.

Heroic victory. First one on this Woodland Elves campaign with a 1 star general. Badass. I did not expect a victory, least of all Heroic. Made me believe the elves were A LOT stronger than I initially thought. I can think about moving out without a full stack of units now to claim some low settlements. It will help with my mobility and spreading for sure.

Battle stats. 3 experienced gained. I released the prisoners as I am elves and had no interest in ransoming then having to execute the unpaid ransom. This guy was originally going to be afterthought, a low level family general whos main purpose for the rest of the game was to be governing a small city, but I decided he can stay and look after Aman Lanc and it will be his stronghold. I believe he is at 4 stars now. And gets +1 or +2 while defending walls, and Lembas and Reliable Runner as retinue. So ya, he turned into a badass with a lot of experience also.

Hope yall enjoyed these couple of pictures!

Hey all the Dwarf fans, have this as a slap to the face because I hate all Dwarves now due to this battle.
Also I felt extremely pleased when I saw the last dwarf in the Iron Guard unit get bludgeoned from multiple sides by my men. XD
