Outnumbered 4 to 1 with a 1 star general who just got done with puberty. Great. I want Legolas or my King, and I get this dope. I figure, if I can kill enough of these troops it might hurt Mordor's constant threat/attack on me so, my goal is to kill as many as I can before I get eaten. My main army was back on the way, and I figured I might be able to hold off the remaining Mordor invasions with my main force once I retake Aman Lanc after I lose it in this battle.

I come to the conclusion that the best bet is to try and defend the choke. Best not to get surounded. Anyway my elven archers will completely stomp everything. And they can buff the front line with volley of arrows on these heavy infantries. It might synergize well and work out for me.

Eager fighters, they come very quickly which I thought was gonna be amazing for me, but it ultimately didn't matter one bit simply because that was heavy infantry and black numenoreans and they had a skirmish for a solid 6 minutes before anyone died

Reinforcement for the heavy infantry in the front line came. But all in all, I'm doin pretty well at this point. The choke is proving to be a great equalizer. However, I'm quickly running out of arrows and their strong infantry line just is just resisting the arrows really well. I've gotten rid of their archers in the meantime as well.
Their main force has arrived and it seems this one will take a bit. The entire time I'm waiting for a few men to fall, and the entire force comes crushing me like a wave. All but 1 stack of archers has run out of arrows. Time for all to be in melee.
My other line tired, so I decided to send my General in sensing victory near. Volley of arrows from my elite archer group still raining down in the backline, and my general and his bodyguards in the front line. Absolutely nothing could stand up to this. I destroyed the enemy general, then a solid 3 minutes later, the remaining 150 orcs routed. My general absolutely beasted this orc line. It was really badass to watch.

Heroic victory. First one on this Woodland Elves campaign with a 1 star general. Badass. I did not expect a victory, least of all Heroic. Made me believe the elves were A LOT stronger than I initially thought. I can think about moving out without a full stack of units now to claim some low settlements. It will help with my mobility and spreading for sure.

Battle stats. 3 experienced gained. I released the prisoners as I am elves and had no interest in ransoming then having to execute the unpaid ransom. This guy was originally going to be afterthought, a low level family general whos main purpose for the rest of the game was to be governing a small city, but I decided he can stay and look after Aman Lanc and it will be his stronghold. I believe he is at 4 stars now. And gets +1 or +2 while defending walls, and Lembas and Reliable Runner as retinue. So ya, he turned into a badass with a lot of experience also.
