    Just upload them to filefront for example or here at TWC by "adding attachement"

    After experimenting with Bink for several weeks, I've concluded that it really is best to use uncompressed AVIs as you said, Jan. There is nothing else that comes even close in terms of quality. Even if the video file (before bink compression) looks just as good as the uncompressed AVI, the result will be far worse. So basically it means uncompressed video is the inly choice if you want high quality. The only thing that bothers me, is how CA manage to pull off such great quality with amazingly small file sizes. Just look at them, they are so crisp and clear but the file size is so small. I wish they'd reveal their secrets.

    I totally hear you on this...I've messed around with Bink and boy its a picky program...I have no idea how CA gets that quality either in this format...I can't get ETW to accept anything but 640x480, and it looks gaudy.

    Well like i posted in the OP you get the best results with the free version of the RAD compressor by using this settings:
    Click to view content:

    I never tried it out with HD material but i think they wont get so much worse than the vanilla CA videos.

    Except that it says 100% compression in your screenshot. That means if I am using an uncompressed AVI the size of that file will be huge.

    I am now using compress to a data rate option with a 500000 value. Sixty to eighty second long videos take somewhere around 25-30 mb (1024x576 resolution) and the quality is well... good enough. The only drawback is the size. If you have 20 videos with this size, the fmv folder becomes quite heavy.

    Heya

    So i followed the video, all worked fine untill the moment came to drag the videoclips to the VirtualDub program from capture_tga folder. Unfortunatelly i do not seem to have that folder nor the videoclips, seems it wont save the .cam files also into the cameras folder. Oh yeah, when i try to save a sequence in cine_ed_editor it shows the previous saved .cam files in the camera folder but with a padlock mark on all files, i save the new .cam file then to to the cameras folder and it shows its empty. I cant seem to figure what i did wrong there so any help would be much appreciated

    Edit: Nvm, fixed it

    Then there is a mistake in your paths
    If you don't have a correct path then it doesn't work.

    First, do you have windows 7 or an older version, cause it workd differently with windiows 7 ?!?

    Is CinEd working with MOS or is it vanilla only?

    Ok, I have saved some campaign battle replays, also edited the edit and render files ok. But one thing that is not explained in the tutorials is the camera file. Where do you set this up???

    Tried loading the batch files, the Third Age loading screen appears then closes down. I am linking to the right replay file in the right location, but have no camera file. Do you just take your replay video name, mine for instance is "orcs1.rpy" and type in "orcs1.cameraGroupXml"?

    file = C:\Program Files\SEGA\Mediewal II - Total War\mods\Third_Age\replays\orcs1.rpy
    camera = C:\Program Files\SEGA\Mediewal II - Total War\mods\Third_Age\cameras\orcs1.cameraGroupXml

    *just noticed Medieval is spelt Mediewal, and here is meant to be no dash between II - Total War.

    Fixed, now it seems to be working fine.

    Solve one problem, and another arises, always the way.

    Soooooo, when I shift right click a point on the timeline, then click the fast forward button the program encounters an unspecified error.

    I have no idea about trouble-shooting this.

    I am running this on Mac book Pro bootcamp, installed with Windows XP.

    When I run the editor, it seems to be very temperamental. When trying to fast forward, the program crashes to desktop. After allowing to play for a few seconds, it also crashes.

    Getting this in the log file

    REPLAY checker difference at tick 5523!

    Any ideas?

    CineEd can be terribly temperamental, I would try perhaps a new battle.

    Thanks, I'll try a custom battle instead of a saved campaign.

    No, if used right it normally does not make any problems
    Saved games from the campaign are very likely to crash after the deployment phase has ended, replays from custom battles will work fine to 99,9%

    Fhew, I reached the point where I was afraid to touch CineEd as it would just turn around, snarl at me, then crash to desktop.

    Custom battles from now on.
