How to get Third Age Total War working on STEAM!

Hi guys.

Well I installed it to my steamapps/common/MTWII folder.

Then i clicked on the short cut, Goes to the launcher, the launcher does not have third age as an option.. So i clicked Medieval Total war II, for some reason it went in to third age but crashes every time I go in, Can someone please guide me!

Fix:

Rename your Third Age total war file in modules to one of the kingdom campaigns. (ex. third_age change folder name to americas)

Launch Americas campaign from launcher and it should launch!

The way i fixed it was to swap the names of the "Third_age" folder with one of the other campaigns.
I changed americas to Third_age and then choose the americas campaign from the Kingdoms launcher.

Only downfall is you can't play americas unless you change the names back, but why would you wanna do that anyways

Well there was no need to replace all the files just merely swap the names of the folders but both ways work i guess lol. Have fun.

This is why i don't use steam for games that have good mods. Always buy a good old fashioned, hard copy of the game.

I have dl the 1.1 version of third age, and executed it

I have the same the problem than above and did the same thing: swap name with the americas folder.

The problem is, though I have a screen showing me than the third age mod is launching, soon after, I have a message telling me:

"Medieval 2 encounter an unspecified error and will now exit"

Any idea ?

did you install both parts of the mod? , that happened to me when i forgot to install one of them (you have to click both.exes, not having em in same folder and clicking only one)

when you download is then there is a first and a second part

Can anyone help, i tried what is mentioned above and it only did not work, it somehow managed to frack up steam and my other games as well. I'm not a noob when it comes to putting mods on games, but i have never done so in steam... Now i am in the process of re-installing every game i have on steam again, i play all regularily so this kinda sucks balz

Okay, i installed part one in steamapps/common/MTWII/ Mods folder right next to all my other M2K campaigns (americas teutonic etc) i did the same with part 2, so i have my Third_Age right next to my americas teutonic etc, so i rename my Third_Age to americas. When i launch steam and M2k and select americas all i get is M2 up on the page any ideas?

Okay correction, i switch to americas and i get the coold intro for third age total war but then the menu of m2 comes up... HELP

Unpack this in mods/Third_Age/ and just run. Its gonna give u the directions if it still won't be able to run.
