First post on the website, I've registered especially to thank you all for this wonderful mod. I've just installed version 3.2 on kingdoms 1.05 and it's working amazingly.
Every aspect of this mod is great and I can't imagine how much work you must have invested in it.

One issue though, when I try to charge with melee units (mostly infantry), let's say 2 of them are ahead of the group and fighting the rest of the 100+ soldiers will just stand there do nothing until the first 2 will die fighting and only then they will engage.

Is this mod only compatible with a specific version of Kingdoms like v.1.05? Also, I have the Steam version of Kingdoms so I'm not sure where the data file would be to insert the mod code. Any and all help appreciated. This mod looks too amazing to pass up!

    Default Keep coming back ..

to this mod. You can always tell a quality game, you keep returning to it. When i get tired of flying hurricanes over the channel or trading or life in general, I know I can relive LOTR with a campaign of TATW.

And it all cost me nothing! ..!! except for $20 for M2TW.

Well done TATW team, you're created a classic.

    Read the installation instructions.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    Requirements:
    - TATW 3.2 is a stand-alone version and does not require any previous installation of TATW, such as TATW 1.x or 2.x. (However, you must have installed the base 3.0 before patching to 3.2.)
    - If you have installed a previous version of TATW (2.1 or older), it is recommended to delete the old version before installing TATW 3.2.
(Note that TATW doesn't change any registry settings of your system, so you can also delete the old TATW folder "Third_Age" manually.)
    - TATW 3.2 requires the 'Medieval 2 - Kingdoms Expansion' and is compatible with the official patch 1.04 and 1.05. (One installed campaign of the 'Kingdoms Expansion' is enough)

    Installation:
    - Install
    TATW_3.0_Part1of2.exe &

    TATW_3.0_Part2of2.exe &
    TATW_3.1_Patch.exe
    &
    TATW_3.2_Patch.exe

into the default "Medievall II Total War" directory.
(Normally this is: "Programs/SEGA/Medieval II Total War")
If you have installed Medieval II into another folder, please select the folder manually.
    - Start the mod with the 'Third Age - Total War' shortcut on your desktop

    Steam specific installation instructions:
    1. Install all parts of the mod as instructed above.
    2. Open "Steam/Steamapps/Common/Medieval II Total War/mods". There you
will find all your installed Kingdoms campaigns as well as the
    "Third_Age_3" modfolder.
    3. Edit the name of one of the Kingdoms folders (americas, britannia,
crusades, teutonic), preferably your least favorite campaign. The new
name doesn't have to be anything specific.
    4. Change the name of the "Third_Age_3" folder to the former name of the
Kingdoms folder you just edited. For example, if you edited the
"americas" folder, the "Third_Age_3" folder should be named "americas".
    5. Select the appropriate campaign from the steam menu. If you renamed
the "Third_Age_3" folder to "americas", select the americas campaign. If you
named it "crusades", select the crusades campaign and so on.
    6. Steam will now launch the mod.

If you have installed 3.0 or 3.1 and renamed your folders before you have installed the 3.2 Patch:
    - If you have already renamed the "Third_Age_3" folder to one of your 'Kingdoms' campaigns (for example to "americas") install the patch normally.
    - After the installation, move the files of the newly created "Third_Age_3" folder to the renamed folder manually.
(For example cut the content of the "text" folder from the newly created "Third_Age_3" folder and paste it into the "text" folder of your "americas" folder.)
Note : The "models_missile" folder has to be copied to the normal ".../Medieval II Total War/data" folder!
    - The "Third_Age" folder can now be deleted.

Alternatively you can use the Kingdoms Launcher App.

Hi I had no problems running or installing the mod to a steam version thanks for the fantastic guidelines. My first impression is wow this is even better that the vanilla game (I preferred the American expansion as Apaches.) I have tried several factions now and prefer the dwarfs. I have yet to secure a working economy for them but given time I might. They seem to be the only faction I have seen where they by default have a deficit on their economy from game start. (that is one of the challenges) I quickly installed the Mos submod with the extended map and this works perfect as well. It would be nice if there was some cultural differences on the evil factions in stead of they all have the Sauron worshipper culture. but this is a small thing compared to the mighty work of your fantastic work. I would also like a strategy only campaign. Where you have to conquer all of Middle earth with your chosen faction and the story/books was not existing to give you more freedom on the map. Thx for your fantastic work and keep it up

Default In my game, Rohan just held Edoras against all odds!!!

I was playing as Gondor on VH/VH, and I allied with Mordor and Harad very early in the game. So Rohan was not my ally anymore by the time they got invaded. It just amazed me that they just banged all the dark crusaders all by themselves. I did, however, helped a little bit by sending an army north to fight Isengard. But I saw with my own spies that Harad actually sent 3 stacks of elite armies...

It's just amazing, and I want to share with you guys. This is the first time I got this result. Probably because it's the new 3.2 version.

It's quite possible, actually. You just need to pay 10k+. Once you get a peace treaty with Mordor, Harad will be more than happy to sign a peace treaty with you as well. And then, you just need to suggest an Alliance and usually Mordor will accept your proposal.

Hey guys, I just made a rational command decision!! Since it's quite illogical to take on two countries at the same time, why not try a diplomatic approach first? Divide and conquer, guys.

If it gives him a good gameplay then why not; that's why we all play after all and no one forces the other to do it their way [beside perhaps us modders, hoho]

Any further discussion about diplomatic relationships and decisions will be removed from this thread, as it is off topic. If you want to continue I suggest you start a new thread.
