Cant play MP

I looked in the mod section to hopefully answer my own question but didn't find it. I'm TOTALLY new at this game and my knowledge is very little. Ive been reading the forums trying to soak up as much info as possible. I haven't been able to play much as Ive had the sound issues that many are facing.

Anyways I installed the Darth mod and (if forgot the mods name) the blood and smoke mod. I guess I didnt see or read the fine print but do installing these mods prohibit you from playing MP. I tried to play last night and I had a different version than everybody else. Was trying to find a game to have someone help or coach me. Thanks for any help.

As Laoch has posted - yes. That is unless someone who has also added those mods hosts a game. Then you should have a compatible game.
