Is this a naval invasion?

I'm using the late era mod so this is only the second turn. I'm not sure how they got all the way to Paris in one turn. During there turn they defeated a French army too.

I just downloaded the latest version. This is the first turn I've played with it.

Hey that's total cool, yes that must be a naval invasion as Great Britain initially don't have any area on Europe mainland!

Why shouldn't it be possible - as I saw the AI never have this penalties for entering or leaving the ship so it is quite possible!

I thought the same thing. I can't remember, can you move an army on the same turn you disembark it if you disembark in a port?

No, this is not a naval invasion. That English army starts in France in the first turn.

If you disembark in a port, including enemy ports, you can move the troops in the same turn. You could actually invade France in a single turn. Take the troops from England, embark them in a port, disembark in the French port, and go. Whether the AI actually did that, I have no idea.

I started a French campaign to see if that unit is there from the start and it is.

OK, scare over - it isnt a navla invasion.

Im going to close the thread before Darth gets accused of "claiming he has fixed naval invasions" (again).
