Square formation disabled?

Hi, I just installed darth mod 1.2 and now none of my infantry units can do Square formation. The Square formation icon in the hud is just blacked out and "un-clickable"

I'm playing as Britain and Iv'e researched the square formation technology so why cant i do it? Is it to do with the number of troops in the unit, there is now about 1020 soldiers in a regular unit of brit line infantry in darthmod 1.2, and I noticed that when the enemy have killed about 700 or so square formation becomes available. Why is this?

I read something about you cant form square with more than 400 men and less than 50 or so

I can confirm that, in Ottoman campaign, the Nizam y Cedid Infantry (=500 men), is having the same issue...
But the other infantry (=400), are fine...

prehaps there is a size limit for squares? there is clearly a minimal size.

good you mention this, I think darth is gone fix this issue soon (maybe decreasing the unit number). I didnt notice until now since my line inf always loses man before I use square formation.

It would probably be good to scale the largest unit size to the maximum allowed for square formation, then...

Well i would not necessarily expect peasant rabble to have the disipline to form square... If you just be thw professional units that would need it. However any units too big for it should have the option removed...
