    Default {MTW2} HASM and Magnus Orum Mods

    Originally I started this simple little Mod to make my game playing experience more realistic. The Mods features were as follows.

    MTW2 Historically Relevant Strat Map (HRSM) Mod.
    Original Goals:
    - Adding around 80 historically relevant settlements to flesh out the vanilla game.
    - Changing many of the rivers, terrain features and the road network to reflect a more historic reality over the vanilla game.
    - Changing many of the vanilla games original settlements' names/locations (where necessary) to reflect historical accuracy.
    - Keeping all of the original vanilla games other functions.
    - Intended for my own personal use.
    Progress: Finished.

    However, thanks to the brilliant tutorials given to us by the celebrated and noteworthy mapping genius Gigantus, I have expanded my skill-set in this area of expertise.
    And because of this, the HRSM Mod has been depreciated.
    I now have broadened my scope and started a new project with the following parameters.

    MTW2 Historically Accurate Strat Map (HASM) and Magnus Orum Mods.
    Current Goals:
    - A complete re-do of the vanilla games strat map using topographic, etc. maps.
    - Adding over 80 historically accurate settlements to flesh out the vanilla game.
    - Changing all of the rivers, terrain features and the road network to reflect historical reality.
    - Changing all of the vanilla games original settlements' names/locations (where necessary) to reflect historical accuracy.
    - Using historic starting strengths for all kingdoms.
    - Possibly adding several new factions.
    - Keeping all of the original vanilla games other functions.
    - Intended for public consumption.
    Progress: 25% complete.

    This Mod will be released in two parts.
    1 - The HASM section will only include the strat map changes/additions and will essentially just be a new historically/geographically accurate map for the original MTW2 vanilla game.
    2 - The Magnus Orum section will include the above, as-well-as incorporating historic starting strength changes for every kingdom. Any other new non-map modifications, such as new factions, will be included in this too.

    Mod Team Members:
    There are three of us...Me, myself and I.

    Mod Team Member Recruitment:
    I don't think I'll need to recruit anyone to help with this. This is a large but very basic modification of the game and I currently posses the skills required to finish it.
    However, If one felt inclined to assist with some of the grunt work and wished to be trained in mapping and receive credit on the completed project for compensation...Well, I would consider it.

    Statement of Mission:
    I know there are many excellent, finished Mods with exactly the same goals as my HASM/Hegemon Mod.
    Therefore, re-doing what has already been done might seem like a simple case of Modding masturbation...and that just may be true.
    The mission of this project, however, is not to try and improve on what has been done before but to seek to add my interpretation to what is one of the most enjoyable gaming experiences I have had.

    Good luck.

    I would also suggest you not name the second iteration Hegemon, as a mod of the same name has achieved some notoriety around these parts for using other modders work without permission, and I wouldn't want people to assume they were one in the same without giving your mod a second look.

    Yea, sure bro. I'll have it out later next week.
    Since this is my first time releasing a Mod, however, I have to figure out how/where to do this.
