    Default History of Rome podcast

Hey all, thought I'd share some of my favourite listening, whilst I play TW games. I'm in no way affiliated with the site, or anything like that, it's just a great yarn, well-explored and very relevant to the time period this mod is set in.

Histories of Rome are good. Does this one follow Livy or is just the author's own take?

"If ye love wealth greater than liberty,
the tranquility of servitude greater than
the animating contest for freedom, go
home from us in peace. We seek not
your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch
down and lick the hand that feeds you,
and may posterity forget that ye were
    our countrymen."

It's the author's own take. But he has done his research, and it is very charmingly written and generally an accurate and detailed examination, with a bit of light humour every now and again. I've listened to quite a few history podcasts, and this is the best one by a Roman mile!

Oh yeah - and what's wrong with listening while playing?? You need something to inspire you to greatness!

He he, nothing generaly - I prefer good music to a historical narrative

For any who are interested by my FF on occurrences in Rhun and beyond; I have begun a new project (not because the old one is finished, just opening more room for ideas) about one of the minor characters, Rankal. It is in the Third Age AAR index and here is the link http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=376994

I'm feeling the love! However, I should be getting on with the Syracusan descriptions so I'll be getting on with some writing, then!
