    "DTX / Divus Terrae Expugnandae Extreme Mod Ver.1.7"

    DTX or Divus Terrae Expugnandae Extreme Mod Enhances Graphics as well as Gameplay of Vanilla RTW, coded for ALX engine which uses best AI performance, challenging battles, beautifully textured battlefield, environment and units, featuring the works of Respected Various Artists here on TWC.

    INSTALLATION:
    1) extract TERRAE EXPUGNANDAE EXTREME MOD ver.1.7 with winrar
    2) extract this mod locating the path to your C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\
    3) this is completely modfoldered so you can still play with vanilla RTW/BI/ALX and other mods that are mod-foldered with the right shortcuts.
    4) create a new shortcut with your RTW.exe or Alex.exe and on the properties target put this for example:
    RTW.exe = "C:\Program Files\Creative Assembly\Activision\Rome - Total War\RomeTW.exe" -mod:dtx -show_err -nm
    Alex.exe = "C:\Program Files\Creative Assembly\Activision\Rome - Total War\RomeTW-ALX.exe" -mod:dtx -show_err -nm - noalexander
    the one on the red part is important and after doing that you can use the DTX.ico for your shortcut


    COMPATIBILTY:
    This mod is for RTW 1.5/RTW-ALX 1.9. It WILL NOT WORK OR WILL NOT WORK CORRECTLY with 1.0, 1.1, 1.2 or 1.3. or BI
    this mod need a fresh unmodded version of Rome Total War installed before installing TERRAE EXPUGNANDAE EXTREME MOD ver.1. and yes you can play other modfoldered mods with it. Best Played VH/VH Huge Setting and the best part you only need a low-end pc to play this mod.

    Most CTDs where caused by Epirotan units iirc. You have made me a very happy man, eagerly awating the release. Its time to play Rome again (the best and most inmersive TW game out there, and TE the most elegant, simple and fun mod, imho).

    Oh, btw, I forget to ask about the barbarians. I know Lusted said he had plans to expand the barbarian nations troop trees, and even the barbarian mercenary ones... Will barbarians troops be expanded and refined in your mod?

    Has probs in TE .7 with Numidian warrior cas files missing,it is in TE .5 but forgotten in update to TE Gold. Can you looksie?

    There is ancient data for use in Hegemonia so it was to be dual fold to help here and with SpiritofRob also. I am trying to find historical greek data outside the norm channels we look at,Flicker as example and other sites we don't normally check on for RTW related stuff.

    a) Multiple Temples: Oh related to RTR Mod..they have a multi temple system in use. I tried to use it with consent from the designer NERO666,but got crashes due to 2 temples on battle screen in city,as a guess when I tried to capture one. Do you know anything about it and can use such here???? I done the extensive text data,but think I missed something about settlement design??? I did my best,but failed. Multiple temples is one maintemple to Pathenon-5th and second to just Temple level-2nd.

    b) 0 Turn recruitment issue was raised before and in my gaming(I tried an AAR)I aged so fast due to vast travel distances and waiting for units,it became difficult to continue(unlike Alexander historically). Perhaps you should consider 0 turn requitment as 'optional' with 2 turn units-1turn???? When you also capture towns and find massive cultural and rebellion penalties(50%+30%)it becomes difficult to manage settlements,not forgetting distance to capital -% on MM maps!!!,so you need extra troops! On normal scale it takes 1 turn to get only a few troops,lol.

    Bug report: For TE Extreme Mod
    1. RTW 1.5 installed
    2. TE gold installed
    3. TE Extreme installed-TE Gold folder
    4. Auto Save:FALSE in Preferences.txt

    Campaign
    Factions,Rome tried and Baktria.
    2nd turn Game errorless crash.

    Darth Divus told me to try and save and load again to progress,but this does not work(I thought i had a solution,but did not use Follow_AI to see what was going on). There is a faction bug it seems. Using 'Follow AI' and 'toggle_fow' to see,it looks like a random ROME faction trigger in testing several games,either battle or building etc code incorrect? CTDs are random,save or load does not matter,can be 20turns OK then bang..something happens and it is random,but normally on Rome faction turn. Have to test more to help fix. Anyone for coffee???? I am using autosave on also,and off.

    #I used Squid's ATV-TW Trait checker as from wiki it says watch for errorless CTDs from TRAITS.txt,and found several concerns in Desc-Traits text. Perhaps the CTD is caused by non functional Roman faction trait triggers for a general? Unlike other factions,the Romans gain several traits specific to Senate Offices,and the ATV shows probs there and with some others. Will sort out to help OK. ^_* . Beer & pizza later nah?

    Interim Game Play

    TE Gold + TE Xtreme data(txt: buildings/model_battle/units/units_enums +model_units+unit speeches(not sure correct txt file? not at my computer)seems to work. I just override the TE Gold data with these Xtreme mod files and works OK.

    There was lagging on TE Xtreme loading screen and maybe there was a prob with this also??? Anyway the game works this way OK so far. So you still gain the new units,just basically old loading screen etc for now. I will play around and see what gives until DD has a better look when free.

    *Game crashes on random ROME turns,altering traits for SENATE offices seems to fix it? Using original Triumvium(spelling)trait data as from what Lusted sourced. With senate gone I think game goes crazy trying to assign senate offices to Rome generals,lol. Looking carefully how it progresses.
