Minor nations?

So, I just downloaded Imperial Splendour but, I don't seem to be able to play minor nations in the campain mode.

On the other hand, in custom battle I can play Venice and, an Indain nation forgot which one. There was probally a few others. My problem is nethier of these are on the Grand campain in fact none of them are.

When I was reading the overview and there were things like "Improved <insert minor nation>" and, it was campain improvment.

Was it somthing I downloaded wrong (which is probally it because, i'm not very good with this stuff)?

Or do I need to download another mod and Imperial improves apon it?

You need to download and install is_startposv1.4.rar located in the IS download thread.

I think I put the is_startposv1.4wprotectorates.rar file into the backup folder not the is_startposv1.4.rar

I'm going to switch them around i'll post if it works

Anyone have a nation (preferably minor) that they would recomend? Was thinking about saxony or crimea (the aar was great)

Portugal is a popular choice. You might also try Bavaria since it gets a normal city.

Wurttemberg are easy enough.Ally with Bavaria and as many other minor German states as possible. Capture Alsace Lorraine asap then it's not too hard to conquer France.Easy then. Westphalia usually attacks Wuer. but no problem if Bavaria is your ally.

Except Portugal isn't a minor faction in Imperial Splendour.

Bavaria makes for a nice campaign and so does Saxony, but I prefer Denmark.

Bavaria is great. So is Savoy, Venice and the Italian States.

If you want a good challenge try the Knights of St John.

Ya, I was going to try St.John but, I went with Savoy because I like thier colors...

Anyway, I plan to take Geo. fast so I can build a big navy

Going with the Italian States at the moment, pretty fun so far. Especially since I've never before now played inside the med, minus the odd venture with a few ships. Raiding the Barbary coast and making money off their captured ships is a new and exciting adventure, yarr.

The italian states and I are best buds at the moment

I tried to take genoa but my first campain I lost and got destoryed my second one I won so now i'm stuck and don't know what to do
