Thread: Highland Scottish skin Mods for the British

Icon5 Highland Scottish skin Mods for the British

Obviously CA did their best skins for the Brits and I for one was very disappointed with the lacklustre skins of other units and I despair of those skins that are not historical.

That said, I am so keen to get some really good skins for the Highlanders and The Black Watch. Is anyone thinking of modding them thus? I havent got a clue how 2 do it!

Yeah, this is the image I want at least for the Black Watch

Anywho, Suum Cuique will include some famous highlander regiments from the SYW era. We will do our best to include historical uniforms and tartans.

We shall never surrender and even if, which I do not for the moment believe, this island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our empire beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the British Fleet, will carry on the struggle until in God's good time the New World with all its power and might, sets forth to the liberation and rescue of the Old."

Vanilla, or, in other words, 'plain'. So basically, as suggested above, the original game with no added modifications or retextures.

It's used in a number of modding communities and always for the same thing.

EDIT: Also, regarding that (admittedly awesome) picture of the Scots Bagpiper above... that isn't the Black Watch tartan. Although I'm sure you guys know that.
It's not even the Royal Stuart, in fact, which is a little strange, given he's a Piper.

Wasn't it green and blue and the only tartan they could wear? The period is also later than ours (for the time being of course!)
The British were completely beaten and the day was mine, but they did not know it and would not run.

well actually, the "Blackwatch" depicted by C.A. are actually the Third Regiment of Foot Guards (Scots Guards)

1st The First Regiment of Foot Guards
2nd The Coldstream Regiment of Foot Guards
3rd Third Regiment of Foot Guards (Scots Guards)

The Black Watch should be another separate unit altogether as the where the 42nd The Royal Highland Regiment. Depicted here between 1743-97. the time that best fits Empire's time scale
