CTD Problem

I recently re-installed this mod after a break, during which I played Ancient Empires. I un-installed and re-installed Rome completely, installed the required patches and also v2.3a or whatever it is. Whenever i get up to the 3rd turn and enter a battle involving Julian, I get a CTD. This only happens when I use Julian. I think, anyway. Or it could be when I do more than one battle per turn. Whatever it is, I need HELP.

I think this may be the quotes files problem.

Have you deleted these files?

Yep, quotes deleted. The battle did work when I saved beforehand and reloaded. It may just be too much for my crappy comp to handle .
