Ok, thanks, apparently my dude the already had 8 ancillaries. So is there any way i can still get the ring. Is it just to march into the settlement with a general with a few ancillary slots to spare?

I've been away from the forums for probably close to a year now I think! I had the pleasure of installing and playing 3.1 and have now seen that 3.2 is uploaded and ready to roll!
I'm just wondering how the project is going at the moment? Are there any further plans for future updates? (Even sketchy maybes? ) I know KK is a busy guy, so if anyone has any info at all on what's hot/not and what's still active I'd be really appreciative. (ESPECIALLY interested in custom settlement news!)

I'm just reciting this off of memory, so I could be way off, but if I remember right, you need your top tier stables, it needs to be after turn 40 (after the barracks event), and they need to be built with a city with the oliphaunt resource (i.e., the elephant standing somewhere in the province.)
Realistically, that means that you're not likely to actually get mumakil until a ways into the game.
whats a good way to speed up pop growth in cities im playing as Eriador and Aragon just hit 53 and i have a minor city in Annu.
First off, Aragorn will still live for a long time. Characters start to die at age 120 or something in TATW.
Secondly, set taxes to low, make sure the governor of Annuminas has at least 7 chivalry, make sure Annunimas has all of the pop growth buildings constructed (farms and livestock farms). That's all you can do I think.

Does experience give archers any additional benefits on top of increased melee attack? Perhaps an increase in some sort of hidden accuracy stat?
I've always thought it odd that experience increases melee attack rather than missile attack, has this been left unmodified due to balancing concerns about archers becoming OP?
Would be intrigued to know people's thoughts.

I just tried it out.
Isengard Snaga Archers vs Gondor Militia
After the first volley:
no experience on archers: 2 kills
9 experience (3 gold chevrons) on archers: 16 kills
When the militia reaches the archers:
no experience on archers: 40 kills
9 experience (3 gold chevrons) on archers: 95 kills
So experience on archers makes a huge difference.
