    Default "Dale Music???" HELP ME!

Hi, I was wondering can anyone here tell me exactly what music I'm listening to on the Dale campaign map and where I can find it? There are a few extracts that sound like they're out of "new line cinema" films and I can't for the life of me find out which song it is, like a splinter in my mind....

any light shed on this would be most appreciated

You can extract the music through instructions in this link:

And find out yourself. They should be labeled accordingly.

Icon5 A few questions from non-player interested in the alliances and diplomacy in game.

hey guys first post i dont have the game as my computer is broke but when it is fixed i am very much looking forward to get this. anyway i have the following questions:

1: do factions start in prefixed alliances IE all good is allied so dale is allied with gondor etc. same apply s for evil factions.
2: are they all united in a sense of religion good crusades and evil crusades etc.
3: can the good Allie with evil or make peace even?
4:are the AI in your opinion diplomatically competent?
5: lastly, do AI make peace and declare war examples include dale making peace with say...rhun and eriador declaring war on Gondor (AI controlled factions)

thanks in advance to any who reply

It depends on which version you get. In mine, the Dwarves start allied with Dale, the Elves with each other, Gondor with Rohan, I think Eriador with the High Elves, Mordor with Rhun and Harad. In my version, good factions never fight each other, and evil factions don't fight each other either, or ally with the enemy. In Vanilla TATW 3.2 (or is it 3.1?), it's a free for all.

Evil factions have invasions, and you can get a submod that allows invasions for good factions too.

The AI is not competent in any area in Medieval 2. Hope for the best.

    1. No, only lore friendly alliances like Rohan-Gondor, Dale-Dwarves, Mordor-Rhun, Mordor-Harad, etc.
    2. Yes for evil, no for good. There is a submod called DCI which creates it for the Dunedain factions.
    3. Sure, you can but it is harder than with good factions (if you're good)
    4. Not really but there is not much we can do about it. I would recommend downloading the Total Diplomacy submod if you want better diplomatic features.
    Spoiler for Features
A toolbox of some very useful diplomacy-related actions, aimed at improving your ability to work with your allies. Including: force them to accept any diplomacy offer, take ownership of an ally-owned fort and create an alliance between two of your allies.

5: It is possible but again, you can try to prevent it with the earlier mentioned total diplomacy submod.

I hope this answers your questions.

PS There is a submod compilation which includes both submods mentioned earlier if you're interested.

Hello, experts of TATW. I am playing a Silvan Elves campaign and was wondering how to recruit the Ents? I looked on the building browser and there is no building to recruit them from? I did a little more research and found that they are a mercenary unit. So, do one of my generals recruit them, and if so do they have to be in a certain region like fangorn?

If you grant them autonomy in the event which pops up if you own Fangorn, they will give you a single unit at times, then after a while that will go away, and repeat.

What if Rohan already has Fangorn? And I don't really want to go to war with them.

Well then, you could try to buy it from them, or you could live without Ents.

Villages shouldn't be too expensive to buy. If needed, offer them a menial settlement in return.

Press Shift and hold over the enemy and you'll see the marker turn into a sword instead. Then go cut them up

Do both Shift and Alt work for that? I've always just used Alt.

No, just Alt. Ngugi's game must be weird...

Alt tells a unit to use it's secondary weapon, if it has one.

Shift is used to set waypoints, including consecutive attack orders, ie. "Attack this unit until it is destroyed, then attack this unit, then move here, etc etc..."

Oh ok. I didn't know about the consecutive attack orders function, thanks for the tip!
