Yes, they've got some heavy infantry (native hoplites) and axemen still to come, and there are more regional units as well.

More likely Pontus because they seem to have adopted helenistic equipment.

They look SO awesome. I wouldn't be surprised if they are the bodyguards for Kimmerios Bosporos, to be honest, although they already have a new bodyguard unit.

I think it's the new BG of Pontus since historically, pontus did use a lot of sarmatians in their armies.

They are the new BG unit for the Sauromatae.

Pontos are due their own bodyguard unit, but they won't be in 2.35.

Btw, I'm enjoying the new Facebook trivia but I do have an suggestion: I think it would be nice if they were accompanied by some related picture, like today a picture from an thureos, or something like that. Either than that keep the good work.

Planned in the most general sense, in that we'd like to do a voicemod for everything eventually. Not planned in the sense of having anything lined up to achieve that goal, yet.

They have lances as secondary.

No new governments planned; the Sauromatae are not a settled faction and don't become one, which is why their options are limited.

Also I have one suggestion about Sarmatian cataphracts: In my personal opinion previewed unit should be categorized as lancers (Contarii in Latin, Kontophoroi in Greek, I have no idea how to call them in barbarian language – maybe Baexdzhyntae from EB I) as they have unprotected horses. These Sarmatian lancers even influenced the Roman Imperial Army. In the province of Pannonia there were at least two Contarii units - Ala I Ulpia Contariorum, Ala I Cananefatum. For example I post this tombstone of the member of Ala I Cananefatum:

They only have unbarded horses for the moment, because we don't have appropriately armoured ones yet.

You have the awesome Maryagatai to fill that role iirc they are even available as mercenaries so you can get them into your Roman (or whatever) late imperial army!
