For the time being at least. Not enough modders to create a mod of that scale.

Thought I would chip in with a reminder to whoever ends up making the map. Please don't forget: There are no trees in Iceland.

The E:TW mapmakers, for instance, have not realised this. It feels very odd to be fighting a battle in an Icelandic forest...

I think there were still some woods in 9th century.

There was some when settlement began, true, but it disappeared so quickly that if the mod's time frame is more than a few decades, it wouldn't make much sense to include it.

I think it quite important the team finds proof if their was very little trees or none at all in ninth century Iceland. Adding and removing forests when mapping is easy, but I like the idea of the map being as realistic as possible.

Again, good luck with the mapper guys, I am looking forward to the modification.

That's a cool map, especially how there's a way into lake Mälaren from the south there (there should be one from the east too, but oh well). It's very wide though (the northern parts, i.e. the ones we're interested in), doesn't really look realistic that way. I'd like to see it in-game though.

The goal is to expand the map, so that we may include both the Baltics and Britain. The problem is, we simply lack the capacity to do so right now. That's why our map is so small. If we had a steadily working dedicated crew, we'd be finished by now.
