Possible to Mod models?

I wan wondering if it is possible to mod the units models like changing a model's head.

I ask because everytime I see cuirassiers wearing tricorns it really bugs me. Even the dragoons' helmets for the French armies are off.

Anyone working on this or willing to take a look at it as a possible mod? I would work on it but I am not a modder and not interested in making mods.
