    Default Muskets & Cannonfire MOD (mini-mod)

    Hi,
    first, sorry for my bad english...

    I've made a small modification to the sounds and the result here.

    Muskets & cannonfire MOD V-0001:

    -All the sounds of muskets (25) reworked. (now everyone has hammer...)
    -Slightly improved for 10 cannonfire. (more stuck ¿? and echo)



    Option 1- Pack. "patch_muskets_cannonfire.pack" (paste into the "Data" folder)

    Option 3 - If you want, before to install, you can listen the sounds here.
    *Or, If you prefer, you can manually replace the 25 muskets and the 10 cannons with PackFileManager.

    *How?
    Spoiler Alert, click show to read: 
    Open the sound_sfx.pack (data folder) with the PackFileManager.

    Sfx / weapons (muskets and cannonfire). Make a backup of the two packs.
    Replace:
    You have to replace them, searching the ".wav" with the same name, which can be found in the "sfx" you just downloaded.
    Choose option (above) "Chose a pack action" --> "replace File..."
    -> "+" sfx / Weapons "+" (the last) muskets.
    Then search for "cannonfire" and replace too.
    Save.

    This method always works.

    You should change your mod to type mod, not have it type release.

    Going to try it shortly.

    It is not hard to change to a mod type... It takes what, 2 clicks and a Ctrl+S?

    Anyway I will give this a try later.

    Hi,
    Which is what I do wrong? I should not have written here?

    I have written "MOD" in the .Pack, I have to write "mod"? (lowercase?)
    is that?

    the new sounds are quiete good,but for some reason they only work some of the time.i am thiknig it will be easier to make this a mod vs a patch.that way it will be sure to over ride all other files when active....I tried doing this manually but it did not give me the option to do so when i was looking at it in pack manager....and no,you are definately welcome here at TWC

    Thank you very much Ikusa IX.

    I installed the sounds with the PackFileManager directly (making a back-up of the originals, of course).

    When the battle is too big and the army only has repeated units (many militia, Light infantry, etc) the game play 1 or 2 sounds when many soldiers fired at the same time. (I pass the same with the original sounds)
    However, if the army are varied (in units), the variety of sounds that the game play, is more varied. (sometimes...).

    In small battles, or fighting in cities without stronghold, all are heard. Checked.

    These are great and sound like period muskets. Excellent job.

    My one piece of feedback: I would try boosting musket volume by about 3-6dB and Cannons by about 6dB.

    The sounds are already boosting. But I have tried not to overcome certain limits (more db's, more bass) then I have applied a little compression.

    This way, I make sure that they should be listened well in different speakers, earphones etc.

    Bear in mind, which newly is the first version of the mod. Everything can be improved.

    Looking good man. Keep it up.

    Not that it is hard to do, but for newbies, maybe you should rename your file to patch_muskets_cannonfire.pack. So they can throw it in the data folder and play and also not have to worry about it being incompatible with newer patches coming out.

    I have shot in my room.

    There are 25 muskets. (15 "normal" and 10 light)
    The lightmuskets of my mod, are the original sounds of the game (them 'normal') modified.

    The others, they come from movies and other games. All reworked.

    hi,

    What has happened is that at last I understood what was happening with my pack.

    I changed the "release" by the "patch" to "pack-type".
    Before, this was noticed by others, but as I am novice in the packs (and the English language ) had not understood.

    I apologize for this and thank you for the help especially to Bocah_Bali.

    To install all we have to do is put it in the data folder and put the entry in the scripts file.

    hmm doesnt seem to work for me
    i put it in data folder and enter it into the script file but the sounds are still the same as vanilla

    i am using several mods
    Darthmod
    early rank fire
    and some reskins
