ricorda impero di romani doesnt mean anything, it should be RICORDA L'IMPERO ROMANO (or DEI ROMANI).
Obviously, if you would like it to be: you (plural) ,remember the roman empire, it should be RICORDATE L'IMPERO ROMANO.

Look at the Roman Republic (1798 - 1799)

Maybe use that flag. And use red/black or black/red as uniform colors.

Or if u want to go for a more early flag i would rather see the golden eagle on a red bottom as a flag.

For your luck i also studied latin, so in latin "RICORDA L'IMPERO ROMANO" is:
IMPERIUM ROMANUM MEMORAS or MEMORATE ( wich is the second plural person of the imperative form of the verb,it has be used if you are talking to more than one man).
