the flandre regiment is a huge improvment compare to vanilla s version but ... i also like your 111 regiment skin ...

Maybe you can create a brand new unit in the french roster (or give one skin for the colonial line inf etc ?)

the only problem i see with your mod is this one: too many beautiful skins :thumbsup2
I don't want to add new units for I fear for compatibility but I'll see what I can do for colonial line. Thanks for the idea...

    Default quiz

Thank you very much Ziem ! But since France is almost done ( well maybe not for all colonial troops...) I started to look other nations. But I know that the more skin I do the better I become ( I just started yesterday to look seriously at the apha channel...) so eventually, I will revisit France to increase accuracy but I'll need to perfect my skill a little more...
Next update for France should be up in a few days.

As I told you, I'm exploring other nations....

    Here is a little quiz:
From which nation is this line infantry?
    Hint: the source is:

This might give you a hint to where Ancien Régime goes next but it is not 100% sure we'll see...

    Congradulation!
It is Spain, not Napoles but regimento de Soria
    source:
    http://www.kronoskaf.com/syw/index.p...Soria_Infantry

It is amazing how the uniforms of Spain and France like alike...the guards, the artillery, the infantry, and some cavalry regiment share the same colors. Since I've already made France I figure I can use some material...
Like transforming La garde Française in garda espagnola is no big deal they have almost the same uniform ( exept for details) Here's a first try ...

maybe france, spain and austria look alike because for most part of the XVIII century they were allied and so maybe they share uniform design for better recognition in battle ?

    like a catholic alliance

    @Épaminondas The "Oblique"
hmmm... Good question indeed. We know that after the war for the spanish crown, the French Bourbon became also rulers of spain (simplified). The strong family ties might be the reason why Spain and France were so close at that time. Maybe they also tried to copy each other... ( they were two glorious nations at the time...) I don't know...
With Austria, It is a bit different. The Habsburg monarchy was often opposed to France and they had many conflicting interrests... It seems research need to be done on the subject...

    I've also a little update...
coureur des bois are done as are militia and half of the officer ( I still need to edit officer02 )
I've restarted gard artillery and is in progress ( not pleased with result )
    Provicial cavalry is almost done

For militia, the Mouillard plate shows them all white with a black tricorne. I have opted for a kind of dirty white and kept the leather to give them a little rag tag look compare to line infantry (maybe it's wrong...)
For coureur des bois, I went down I my folklore and tough what they would look like so there is no source but I gave them a more indian style look with brownish color and I gave them a piece of french-canadien traditionnal dress: the belt ( ceinture flèchée, arrowed belt ? )

    Picture of ceinture flèchée

Wow, onion. I wish the vanilla skins were so good so I could have had the priviledge of doing my French campaign with these skins. Simply beautiful.

Hello All I'm sorry for bieng silent so long my internet connection was down but is rolling again. So as promesed the s kins for France are in Final version and a few infantry variants are also available I hope you enjoy...

PS.: On officier, why is the officer blue and red instead of white. It is true that most infantry officers were dressed in white cavalry officer had to be dressed like their regiment so on for artillerie. I belive a blue and red officer ( in the colors of the king) is more versatile than a white one and make look cavalry and artillery so much better in my opinion...

Splendid work, Orion! We're lucky to have a reskinner like you around

MEDEN AGAN (Nothing To Excess) - another precept inscribed in the aforementioned place

Excellent work Orion! Very good that you included preview pics in the infantry pack!

edit: Maybe you want to take a look a this mod from Megasalexandros http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=241685 . He managed to incorporate several unique infantry regiments and icons in his mod.
