OK, I've downloaded the Grenadiers, changed the name of their dds files to euro_grenadiers_bearskin_france_diffuse etc, added them to a unit compilation pack, and then launched a late period custom battle with them. Here's the result: one of the most well-made and best-looking units I've seen so far!

What do you mean? I've tested the link for the Grenadiers which Psycho V provided in post #37 twice and it worked both times. But it doesn't contain a pack file, only a zip of the DDS files. After extracting and renaming these files in the aforementioned manner, you have to import (add) them into a pack file yourself to make them work in game. If you do, you get some very Royalistic-looking French Grenadiers on the field, and perhaps a new favourite unit

Thank you for that unit, Psycho V, it's much appreciated!

I made a working packed file for you, with both Line Infantry and Grenadier textures.

It's a mod pack file so you can use it with Mod Manager
Simply rename it the way you want

Awesome! I hope you can continue your work, I've been looking for French uniform mods that aren't Republic.

I have to say these skins, particularly the Grenadiers, are some of the finest work ive yet seen for ETW. Much kudos to you sir!

Just downloaded them both now, cant wait to see them with Darthmod 1.7 and its massive units.

Looks like I'm not going to be online anytime soon. Optus claim it's Telstra's problem, Telstra the Landlord's problem, the Landlord .. Strata's problem, Strata the Landlord's problem.... and so it goes.

I use the Ancien Régime pack for french units but its left with the option of selecting line infantry of your choice and I chose yours to fit that place and wow they matched up excellent with the rest of the units in that package. Really like your line infantry.

What is the latest version of this and is this mere textures or actual new units?

    Hi,

The latest version is v0.91, which hasn't been uploaded yet. The latest just has a few extra cavalry, 7th Cuirassiers Du Roi (Cuirassiers), 8th Royal Cravattes (Light Cavalry) and 12th Royal De Carabineers (Carabiniers).

Haven't done not much work over the past 2 months due to ongoing PC / net problems and legal issues between Telstra and my landlord, thus I have no way of getting into the game to test or acquire the files I need. I'm told the situation should be sorted within the next week.

Thanks, so the current version is mostly Calvary. Is it possible to just add the mod manually in you're user script than using the mod manager?

Yer, I guess. To date Line Infantry, Grenadiers, and the aforementioned Cav (several units were lost with a PC crash). I'm redoing the skins that bug me the most first so alot of the 'cabbage patch' kids are getting attention atm.

Re: Adding mod. Using the mod manager is the easiest way I find. Just dump the mod pack into your data folder and the Mod manager exe into your ETW folder, then double click the exe and Bob’s your uncle.

You can alternately use the pack file manager to unpack and repack your models pack file, but this is risky and a lot of extra work.
