Wow the Volunteers of Ireland look great and I see the Minutemen have been fixed too!

Here are some resources that may be of help; it is a listing of recreated regiments through all the main umbrella organizations. Many of these units have either pictures or websites linked to the listings.

The Brigade of the American Revolution:

    http://www.brigade.org/barmem.html

    The British Brigade:

    http://www.britishbrigade.org/army/units.html

    The Continental Line:

    http://www.continentalline.org/en/units/

    The NWTA Field Guide

    http://nwta.com/

I noticed that after the last update I couldn't open my campaign game until I went back to the older file. Is there a workaround for that?

I tried doing just that, but the textures didn't display in game. I have made a pack called "Minutemen.pack", and it contains the unitmodels/textures directories inside. I have the minutemen normal, gloss, and diffuse inside the textures folder, but it didn't work.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

How did you save the file? Patch or Mod? i understand you cannot use this unit on its own as it is using a seperate LOD files etc.. and will not load over CA's default unit as this is a custom unit made by Kave-In, also you will find the texture will be incorrect if you try and use seperatley.

I think the campaign problem is to do with the new units added, try restarting a campaign??, i am not sure but will one day get to play the game in a campaign!!

I saved it as Patch, but I didn't touch any LOD files, I'm sure that's it. I didn't realize it was a custom unit, I thought it just replaced the model and texture of the current in-game minutemen. So if I want to implement just that unit from the whole army pack, did I select the correct texture files? What files from the LOD should I package with it in order for it to work properly?

Thanks for your responses on this matter!

I do not think it can be done as this is not a retexture for Minutemen unit, it is a custom unit that was made by Kave-In, this is due to the remodding of the jacket and Tricorn hat!, if you try and use that unit as it is with CA's Minutemen the texture distorts etc..as it uses its own unique mesh model!, we do not have the tools at present to change any of this till CA gives us there tools, Sorry.

It might be that, now that you mention it. Are you using the smallest resolution for Empire? I might try it to see if it changes. Thanks.

No, my resolution is quite high which I thought might explain why I have not had any problems with all of the unit cards being listed. Could this be valid?

Speaking of (and I am sure this has been mentioned in other threads that I have yet to explore).... But has CA given any indication of when they will be sharing these tools? They made a big to-do about the extremely high level of 'modability' that they game will have, however it seems as though they have kept it quite limited to this point. Are they trying to protect the desirability for their own add-ons?

Piddlesticks. Guess I'll just have to wait to get new Minutemen then. Thanks for your help!

I've downloaded the British and American packs and I have to say that your skins are superb and make for a very colourful and diverse battlefield of dead Americans!

My only problem is that I cannot for the life of me get the units names to show up

I am only using the equipment mod and smoke mod and realise that the instructions do relate to this being caused by another lua file (or something like that) but I can't find one and am becoming slightly frustrated

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Braavis I had that problem and Toon helped me out. check back here post 488

The problem was from a previous mod file. I have the equipment and smoke mods installed and everythings ok. Things like the map pack can mess it up check there are no other .loc files in there from any previous mods and make sure you have the all.loc file from latest 1.6 British mod on the first page installed. Hope that helps.
