    How do you crown a prince after your sovereign passes away?

    You cannot. (You could in RTW, but MTW2 doesn't allow you to choose.)

    Unless you're talking about the trait, in which case I'm fairly certain it's automatic....if not try sending him to your capital and ending the turn with him garrisoned.

    So your land will be 9 turns without a king, that is 4, 5 years isn't that a bit long? I use to send the new king for one turn to the convent and that seemed enough for him to gain 3 authority.
