Default Warhammer 40k, Starcraft or Generic Sci-Fi mod?

With the inclusion of naval battles in ETW, one simply has to consider the implications..
    1. Replace water texture/"stuff" with a starfield, both on the campaign map and in naval battles.
    2. Replace ships with spaceships. Heck even the current naval movement & "physics" could still look fairly okay with spaceships.
    3. Profit!!

We could have a Starcraft TC mod, with land battles taking place with legions of hundreds of Space Marines or Zealots, Protoss Dragoons as, dragoons (cavalry) lol, pun intended.
Or why not dirt cheap peasants, but in the form of thousands of Zerglings for the Zerg, Ultralisks as siege......things.

Not to mention the naval (now space-naval) battles..
Mutalisks facing off against Battleships or Carriers..
Drool.. Or replace those units with whatever sci-fi stuff you like.

Surely it is possible, the only question is if people have the skill, will and patience to make it happen. I for one have no knowledge of leading a mod-team and such, so my hopes rest with one of you experienced modders (perhaps the same guys that made the LOTR mod?).
    Ideas?
