Modding the Irish Brigade unit

Hello,

Here is what I am trying to do: I want to make the Irish Brigade unit only recruitable by Portugal.

Using the Pack File Manager, I go into patch.pack and the unit table.

I tried changing the "Region IDref" value from "displaced_irish" to "portugal", in hopes that this would make them only recruitable in Portugal... But the game CTD's after that.

Is there a way to accomplish this task?

There's a tutorial on how to copy a unit from one faction to another, let me find it...

Hi you don't need to do that. In the mod tools forum is esf explorer, in there you will open the startpos.esf

Then you find the region you want them to be recruited from and choose the resources. In there you just add a new resource named displaced_irish and then the irish brigade can be built there too.

You have to put "peninsula" in there not Portugal.
