    Hello,

    As many of you will agree, KGCM is a great gameplay mod for M2TW. I have my most challenging campaigns in this mod.

    However, as this mod focuses mainly on gameplay mechanics, it lacks in areas especially in visual department. It still looks great. But there are some mods like SS and DLV which uses more variety of skins, textures etc.

    I think a great mod like KGCM needs some love in that area: "Visuals" So i decided to combine some skin packs, better effects like blood, musket smoke etc...

    What does this mod feature:

    -Most of vanilla western factions and mongols reskinned
    -Lots of new shield and banners
    -Realistic blood and dirt models
    -Realistic arty and musket smoke
    -New grass for some climates

    I have just collected good visual mods and put them together. So read the following credits carefully. This mod is here because of their amazing works.

    THANKS TO:

    Burrek: for his awesome reskin of most western factions

    joedreck: for his fantastic shields and realistic banners

    Salty: for great looking italian factions shields

    Kalos: for his awesome mongol reskin

    Headlock and plasticfigurine: for realistic musket/arquebus smoke mod

    Magus: for his epic looking Crimson Tide 4.2 blood and dirt mod

    davide.cool: for his great looking better grass 1.0 mod

    Installation Instructions:

    1- Download and install 7-zip from here: http://www.7-zip.org/download.html

    2- Extract all files compressed in rar into your M2TW installation directory. For example mine is: D:\Oyunlar\M2TW Of course yours will be different. But method is the same.

    3- Overwrite any files that u are asked. Simply say "Yes to All"

    4-Go to the folder : .....\mods\kingdoms_grand_campaign_mod\data\unit_models\attachmentsets

    In that folder search for these files:

    final asian_mongols_diff.texture
    final asian_mongols_norm.texture
    final middle eastern_mongols_diff.texture
    final teardrop_mongols_diff.texture

    After u find them, delete them all.

    5- This step is optional but i strongly recommend it. Since i couldnt include realistic horse project because of copyrights, i will give a simple guide to combine it with my mod.

    You can find that horses in this link: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=165860

    When you download this horse project you will see 6 folders in it named:

    barded_horse
    european_armoured_horse
    heavy_horse
    mailed_horse
    me_armoured_horse
    medium_horse

    Extract them, except mailed_horse and barded_horse folders, into ....\mods\kingdoms_grand_campaign_mod\data\unit_models\mounts

    6- Thats it!!! Enjoy the awesome looking units, shields, horses and etc...

    Important Note: This mod is save game compatible and works with 3.8, 3.9 and 4.1 versions of the KGCM mod and probably will work with any further updates to KGCM that wont touch game visuals.

    Are you going to add Crimson tide in your mod? Can't think of any other blood mods.

    Beautiful units TurkishWarrior. I particularly like the shields and banners. I am looking forward to downloading these.

    I would recommend releasing AI changes and as separate to cosmetic changes.

    Great work. Is this submod save-game compatable? i:e with our hotseats games etc?

    I dont think it could be multiplayer compatible. However i dont see any reason for it cant be save game compatible. Nothing modded that can affect campaign games.

    As long as they affect things on the battlemap, and not the campaign map, it should be save game compatible. I wouldn't risk it though in the hotseat games, since there's a chance it could mess everything up.

    The download rar file on rapidshare is corrupted (96.1 megs). Is there an alternative download?

    I have downloaded the mod file from the link that i have given in first post again.(rapidshare link)

    I have just checked it and there is NO problem with it.

    You may try redownloading it...

    When downloading mods, disable your anti virus protection software. This will stop your download from becoming corrupted.
