erase the wild geese texture in my patch_skins and you will have them back wild_geese_diffuse.dds

@Megasalexandros I really like your skins the only thing i'd like to change are the faces. I tried just to replace them with the faces from the vanilla line infantry, but it didnt work because they looked like crap. (used Photoshop) So is it possible to actually replace these faces or do i have to play with them? I tried it many times but i didnt have any success.

Yes with patch file manager, you go inside the textures and then you erase the wild geese file
And luca beaware you cannot change the face with whatever you like, cause the eyes in the line infantry and the rest of the texture are in different possitions, you muskt use the correct faces that fits the models

Alright, so I delete the diffuse file? Because that's all of Bulk's regiment (Wild Geese) on here.

Nevermind.
Fixed it, back to the old Bulk again!
I'm bummed, though. Really, because I finished my full Prussian campaign before this version arrived.

megas are you going to make this compatible with darths.. i am still playing the vanilla campaign and cannot see your units.. i posted soem time ago and want to know what it is i am doing wrong... as it appears straight forward enough? I did try your mod but could not see any change in my units roster in custom battle

combining so many mods all together is the cause , iam sure of it,
you must search and then fix, if the current version that i uploaded cannot be read by your game that means that a mod of yours gets in the way

Ah bollocks.... I've give up on this mod its the only mod i have used that i cannot get to work.. even after deleating most of my modded filed in data folder..... so i will have to give it a miss.

It's me again

Now, finally i have edited all the faces how i like them, but: If i want to play a battle in the Campaign mode, the game crashes (costume battle works fine though). So I guess the problem aren't the textures in the skin.pack but the patch.pack file. I tried it with different nations but the game always crashes while loading a campaign battle.

Edit: It works with the vanilla patch.pack file.

If i'm supposed to drop this file in my data folder, and overwrite my vanilla file, I dont think I'll be playing this mod. No other mods similar to yours, that add skins and new unit cards overwrites any Vanilla files. The Glory of the Russian Empire Mod, Lego Pack mod, ect.. just have mod files.


Your install instructions make no mention of two files, it only mentions the main file, the main file has a different name that what you posted. I see no Preussen_gloria.pack

Yeh i have had problems with it too, it looks great but too confusing.. why can it not be mod manager? most people then would use it.....

I am probably the only one that has posted.. cannot see how my data folder is unique from everyone elses? cos its not....

Well inside are 2 files
drop them inside the data folder and replace the existing files
that should do the trick

If I do this I will overwrite the Vanilla patch.pack. Not something I really want to do, the possibility of causing conflicts/crash seems high, as well as the possiblity of something going haywire when the game patches.


None of the other Faction mods I play overwrite the patch pack.

I'm not sure how they go about that, but it only requires a 1 to 3 "mod" type files in the data folder, and a script entry, or activation via Mod Manager.

It would really be nice if you could find another way of mod installation, that doesnt involving overwriting this file.

I really dont know another way, i tried with the script file but it didnt worked as i wanted too.
I really dont think that you are going to have a problem, but you can always back up your original patch file

Megas, what are the British units (You can just PM me the screenshots), I don't want to get your latest update for the mod because I have no use for the units anymore, don't wanna re-do Prussia campaign again. Which, by the way, your original units saw HEAVY action in it.
Especially the Bulkeley's regiment model.

to be honest iam so busy making the mod that i dont have the time even to represent it as it should be represented, so i dont have screenshots for the british units unfortunately
