Thread: Saved game folder is all grey?

  1. #1

Default Saved game folder is all grey?

I have been playing Empire since it came out with no problems at all. But today I tried to load a saved game and the folder comes up but is all grey and i cant click on anything. The saved games are still in the \AppData\Roaming\ folder and the only thing that has changed is the patch as I dont mod.

So my question is am I just screwed till they patch in a fix or has someone managed to fix this?

although the last patch was save compatible i found wiping all my saves prevented any ctd's until today when a second patch came to break my game.

It's bizzare, patches really seem to create as many problems as they solve. thats why they end up releasing so many....

For anyone that experiences this bug:
    I deleted JUST the auto-save file in C:\Users\(your user name)\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Empire
Now I can load all the other saved games.

I canīt find this folder. And my Loading and Saving Screens are empty.
But the weird thing is the "Continue Campaign" Button is working.

They must be anywhere, so not all hope is gone.
The problem must be that the Screens are searching in the wrong place.

If you are using vista you must enter the command with the /run... in the start menu.
