The cheat console is summoned by pressing the ~,` button while on the campaign map. If you do not have an english keyboard, the console button is most likely the button under ESC, and left of 1. -> on scandinavian keyboards the console key is ö. (thanks to FinnKing)
    Note: underlined parameters are optional.
Note: if you press UPARROW while in the console, it will bring up the last line you typed

    example:
    "Otto von_Something","Henry de_Something",etc.
-characters that have epithets(e.g: Henry the Great) will use only the name:

I tried the create unit cheat however I keep running in to a problem when I try to create a unit that has a name with more than one word. I've tried separating the words with underscores (Halberd_Militia) and I've tried taking out all the spaces (HalberdMilitia). Yet these don't seem to work, what am I doing wrong?

you should put them between quotes (".....")
also note that there are more than one type of halberd militia.
there is EE, ME, and i think some more.
a lot of units have different versions for areas of the map
eg: EE Spear Militia, NE Spear Militia, ME Spear Militia.....

Nice guide! Must've been a lot of work to make! (too bad I have little use for it... I already know almost all cheats )
E:TW's natives have developed a new "Ballistic Automatic Detection And Seeking System" to utterly annihilate any European that sets foot on their soil... That's BADASS for short!

Why can't I bring up the console? I type ª and º and whatever (I don't have the wavy sign in my keyboard), but nothing pops up!

(I am presuming you have to type in while being on the map, i.e. NOT when you are in battle?)

You can use it in battle too, to bring down the walls just type Jericho.
Anyway, if you don't have the ~ thingy, then just use @, I think that works too...

Whatever's below esc, left of 1/!, and above tab is the cheat key.

In other words, the key second row from the top to the far right.

I wanted to try an idea I had and sent my monarch down to Moria to take it.

I was then going to simply trade away the other dwarven areas and have only Khazad-Dum as my dwarf city and fill the place full of soldiers, money, buildings and etc to simply try the experiment.

Unfortunately, I am not well educated in typing; and so I don't know how to make the special character above the "u" in "Dum" to work on the settlement.

How the heck do you type that "^" above a letter?

    Thanks in advance.

Perhaps it is because I'm on a laptop. I read the earlier posts more fully and realized I don't even have a NUM LOCK key on my computer.

    What is my alternative?
