British Regiments of Foot

BRITISH REGIMENTS OF FOOT

Here is a list I compiled with the help of wiki, of the British Regiments of Foot, names they Historically had. I made this list for myself to help in naming of Regiments so they would match their historical Regiments. Included are pictures where possible of badges, regimental flags and uniforms. Also where I could, I have the battles and regions they fought in and any honours the received.

NOTE: To change Regimental names, right click on the unit card in the campaign map and then left click on the second unit name window on that card. you will find that you are limited to the number of characters that can be inserted into this window, so for longer names you could just abbreviate "Regiment of foot" to "Rgt/ft" which will give you an extra 10 characters, spaces are included as a character slot.

I wonder, did the French and Prussians have something similar? I.e. named, "Famous" regiments?

If so, would you be able to compile a list of those aswell? Would be awesome, in my opinion.

I will definitely look into other nations. This is just to see how the public react and if they feel it a necessary thing they would like.

At this point they were the 20th (East Devonshire) Regiment of Foot, they didn't pick up the name Lancashire Fusiliers until the Cardwell Reforms in 1881.
