Yeah but that thread is out of control and what is required is an updated first post to make it easier to download the latest versions. All we need now is a mod_skins.patch that has them all working to make instalation a breeze. Hey I have that. Will gladly share it if its required.

Hmm, think you misread the link I had.

The link I have up is actually directed to a new topic called "TWC community ETW re-texture compilation pack"

which is basically taking all the textures from that major 7 page thread, and others, and putting them there.

Any chance we could keep this strictly related to re-texturing only? The Russian one is planning to add whole new units which some people might not want.

Edit: Actually, only the Spanish, Prussian and British units are released.

I definitely think you need a stickied referral/redirect thread such as this, with new releases consigned to the relevant threads. I agree it can take a while trawling through the threads to find a set of textures you want to use.

Perhaps a sticky for this thread?

ATM there are already many texture projects for different factions but i can also see the quality and historical accuracy is extremely varying.
I think it can't be wrong if we start to create a database then please try to make it in a general format.

Probably this is almost the same with my thread on the sig below which should not to be confused with the jumbled mess (I mean no offense, sorry if I did)
I even put vanilla/new texture comparison per units there along with straight file download.
