Star Wars Mod Opinion

I would love to see a star wars mod. It seems very possible once we can edit the models in game. If you can make different areas like america, indian etc different planets and naval ships into spaceships to travel to the different regions (planets) I hope someone makes a starwars mod.

The space inbetween the regions like the trade areas such as ivory coast could be space (stars and planets) and the regions will be the planets you can land on.

i guess the ships could turn into starships and the land units into faster firing troops...
sounds plausible, but i'm wondering how things like walkers and speeders would work out, or tanks

I'm not sure the battles would work that well. Empire was made to simulate large, organized formations of soldiers shooting at each other with inaccurate, single-shot muskets that take a long time to reload. Well organized ranks of rebels and stormtroopers lining up shooting at each other with automatic firing blaster rifles would look rather silly, imo.
