In the newest version of PM (1.9) you can edit much more. So does anyone know where I can edit the units range?

Check projectiles in projectiles_tables. It won't be hard to find it
is there a way to edit the range of a specific unit?

WITNESS: Guess.
You can create a custom weapon for them that uses a model already in the game.
Give it a unique ProjectileIDRef and you should be able to edit just that weapon's stats and equip it on your unit.

So is there a guide for that?
Not yet, if no one has gotten to it, I'll try and write one...
Once I can get FPM to work long enough to move the native american units over to the british and french faction.

To give a unit a unique weapon, clone the row for its current weapon and then change the ID on the new row. That's the first column, so you'll have to disable first-column-as-row-header - at least temporarily. Then change your unit's weapon IDRefs to the new ID.
ok so i made a unit that is basically a duplicate of the "guards" unit. So would i just copy the "musket_flintlock" from the "projectiles.tsv", put it at the end of the row and then give it a new id. Then go into the "units_stats_land.tsv" and go to the "Projectile idref" column and change it to the id i changed "musket_flintlock" into?
EDIT: ok i figured it out. i made a new weapon (duplicate) and gave it to the new infantry. if anyone needs help, let me know and i would be happy to help

There's a checkbox (or possibly a true/false box) in unit_stats_land that dictates whether a unit has grenades.
Jams - The current version is a true/false.
