Thread: Someone explain this weird phenomena?

Default Someone explain this weird phenomena?

I got a new laptop. I play ETW on it and I noticed something strange...

When I'm playing the game without charging my laptop at the same time, the frame rate according to Fraps is 20-30

When I play while it's charging the frame rate is said to be 40-55

The settings are the same in both cases.

    Why does this happen?

I don't like playing while it's charging because the charger gets very hot...

maybe because when your laptop is plugged in the power settings change and your cpu is set to full throttle with full cooling. when it's not plugged in it saves power by underclocking

Most laptops will turn power consumption down when not plugged in, resulting in sub-par performance.
I would just leave it unplugged until you need the extra boost of power or your battery gets low.

Or you could edit your Power settings on your laptop (but your battery will stay charged for only a few minutes at full throttle)
