@Lasken & Peacerich - This is awesome, thank you for the input and comments plus the link. I've looked high and low for some kind of march for sweden. I was just going to settle with maybe the national anthem but that would have been just really lame!
Then I found the sheet music and squealed like a little girl in a doll shop!
I am currently working on it as we speak and it should be ready in a week or so. I'm trying to further improve the sounds, which I'm going to then go back and redo, re-record some of the other material I released.

Just popped in to give my compliments on the mod. I'm currently using the Lilliburlero (sp?) one, and it adds so much atmosphere to the game. Thanks.
Thanks!

I am was using the US Mod and I really enjoy your work. Keep it up. I also have the Brittish one going in my new game as my US one got the dreaded currupted save bug. But thats another story. I was wondering however do you have any plans on making one for the Dutch? that would be a fun one I could play when my Britt game crashes.
in short Thanks for all your hard work and your Mods are a must have !!

@Groove - Yep, I have got a handful of songs from a member of another forum. The UP will not be forgotten! I just started composing the march for Sweden and that will be available in about a week or so. Also you are most certainly welcome! Enjoy!

i was just wondering if it was possible for the officers to yell out orders as you click like MARCH or HALT, Fire, you know what im saying? i think that would add alot to the battlefield environment
And some nicer cavalry horns too
If you decide to add more options to faction specific fife and drum, you might consider seeing if Chester by William Billings works as battle march music. It was a very popular song among the American troops during the war and was in the running for adoption as national anthem.

Has some info on music specific to the colonies prior to the war of independence, during the war, and the period shortly after.
Yankee Doodle is a dandy though. I have always been fond of the last verse:
Yankee Doodle is the tune,
That we all delight in;
It suits for feasts, it suits for fun,
And just as well for fightin'
Yankee Doodle is the tune,
That we all delight in;
It suits for feasts, it suits for fun,
And just as well for fightin'
I wish I could say your right but I think the Better song is :
"I wish I was in Dixie"
I wish I was in the land of cotton,
Old times dar am not forgotten,
Look away! Look away! Look away! Dixie Land.
In Dixie Land whar’ I was born in,
Early on one frosty mornin’,
Look away! Look away! Look away! Dixie Land.
CHORUS:
Den I wish I was in Dixie, Hoo-ray! Hoo-ray!
In Dixie land, I’ll take my stand to live and die in Dixie;
Away, away, away down south in Dixie,
Away, away, away down south in Dixie.
Old Missus marry Will-de-weaber,
Willium was a gay deceaber; Look away! Look away! Look away! Dixie Land.
But when he put his arm around ‘er
Smiled as fierce as a forty-pounder,
Look away! Look away! Look away! Dixie Land.
CHORUS:
Den I wish I was in Dixie, Hoo-ray! Hoo-ray!
In Dixie land, I’ll take my stand to live and die in Dixie;
Away, away, away down south in Dixie,
Away, away, away down south in Dixie.
His face was sharp as a butcher’s cleaver,
But dat did not seem to greab ‘er;
Look away! Look away! Look away! Dixie Land.
Old Missus acted the foolish part,
And died for a man dat broke her heart,
Look away! Look away! Look away! Dixie Land.
CHORUS:Come and hear dis song to-morrow,
Den I wish I was in Dixie, Hoo-ray! Hoo-ray!
In Dixie land, I’ll take my stand to live and die in Dixie;
Away, away, away down south in Dixie,
Away, away, away down south in Dixie.
Now here’s a health to the next old Missus,
And all the gals dat want to kiss us;
Look away! Look away! Look away! Dixie Land.
But if you want to drive ‘way sorrow,
I just had to Share seen as how we are talking music. Yes I know it was a different war and time but it is my favorite War song. and I am proud to be Southern Born and raised..

Now as a special promo for the upcoming March for Sweden. I give to you, just for this forum community alone, a small teaser of an early composition for the March of Narva.
This is not the final take, track, or even possibly, sound of the song!
A little about the track
This is a horribly unfinished track. What you are going to hear is the very early stages of recording. The sounds are not finalized, nor mixed properly. This also has a new drum sound that I am developing. Something that I 'cooked' up you might say. So consider this a completely unfinished, unsanitized, rough, mix. Nothing is finalized sound or even drum cadence-wise. It was originally in stereo, but I converted it to mono to give you an idea of what it would sound like in game! Enjoy!
PS. It will play in WinAmp but not in windows mediaplayer for some reason. So try any other media player program you may have.

So are you planning to release a all-in-one pack soon ?
Nice work. Would it be possible to receive MP3 version of your Ottoman march? It blew me off and made me start Ottoman campaign.
@Xzuzz - Yes, eventually. I have gotten a few requests for an all in one download. If i'm going to do that, I would rather wait to have all the factions done and finished. That way its all there and I won't need to go back and forth creating and updating a megapack.

@ Hollowfaith, I'm just glad to help!
And about your early version of the track: Sweet! The drums made me wanna march against Moscow
@lahvan - Sure I could release it. Maybe, better yet after I'm finished with the main marches for all I could release them all in their original, unaltered, stereo sound as like a CD download! Great Idea lahvan!!
@Lasken - Thanks mate! LOL, I'm glad you like it! It should be ready in about a week give or take a day or two.

Hello
This is truly a great mod. Ive been using your Prussia and Ottoman marches and it really adds to the atmosphere.
I have a couple of suggestions regarding the Ottoman music. Maybe if you have spare time you can include one of these into the mod.
Mehter Marsi
Akicinlar Marsi
Eski Ordu Marsi
I dont know if it is historically accurate to use them in this mod, but personally i think they sound better and kinda have more "warlike" feeling to them.
Keep up the great job!
@Airepal - Thanks I'm glad you like it! I'm always up for a new challenge. Once I get all of the factions finished with their first field marches, I'll go back and start working on the extra songs. I do have some sort of finished, like Scotland the Brave, General Wolfe's March etc.. but they do need a lot of work, composition wise, to be released. Thank you for the links, they will come in handy!

Here the Spanish 1761 grenadier march, aka Royal March and the basis of the actual Spanish national anthem.
Hope you can give it some good use.

Read a napoleonic first hand account of a Hessian serving under the french flag
Athenians: For ourselves, we shall not trouble you with specious pretenses - either of how we have a right to our empire because we overthrew the Mede, or are now attacking you because of wrong that you have done us- and make a long speech which would not be believed;.......... since you know as well as we do that right, as the world goes, is only in question between equals in power, while the strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must.
