Smoke and Blood Mod Thread (Last Update: 28.02.10 - Blood Mod for NTW ;) )

Any chance we can get the blood mod in a seperate file.

The smoke mod full version eats up my FPS, and the light version has too many obvious graphical faults, but the blood mod is awesome.

Not to bother you further mech but just wanted to let you know there is high interest in having just the blood mod. The smoke mod looks cool but I can't sacrifice anymore FPS. Any way you could you enligthen us with just the blood mod to download?

I save it to my desktop and then drag it to the data folder, I right clicked to see if i could unzip it or whatever and there wasn`t an option

I updated my blood mod, so you can see blood, if soldiers are hit by musketfire. I working on finetuning and will release the new Version as stand alone, too.

Ok, here s how to install the mod:

1. Unzip with winrar
2. open D:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\empire total war\data
3. place ONLY the .pack file in data folder

thats it, all done run game hey presto smoke, blood, sounds of war great!!!

Fantastic mod but I agree that the brightness needs to toned down a little bit in naval battles. Nice work.

Ugh I unzipped it and whatever but I get a .rar instead of a .pack .

Ok my short review:

Need more songs, and better faction selecting. Nothing like having your prussian troops march across the field to Yankee Doodle Dandy.

Not enough blood, I don't see any to be honest.

Music doesn't trigger easily and needs to be more loud.

Smoke is great, eats up performance, but great.

Okay so when I save it to my desktop its comes out as a rar. file which I can`t unzip I can only compress it and then unzip it which I`m sure it doens`t do anything by now.

So basically I have no idea of what to do.

ok first off love the mod bloods nice and music is good so is the smoke... but smoke is too demanding and i forgot to back up my game files so is there anyway you can help me get my original back or tell me how..? it would be really great since my PC can only play on medium thanks and btw good work

Its so much better with the blood from muskets. Anyway to change the musket hits blood to the cannon ball one? I like the splatter better than the poof. Its still makes the game better tho.

Maybe your mod needs more threads though? 1. A locked one that only you can post in for the actual release files and screenshots... 2. a second, for public discussion of your mod... and 3. a third for completely off-topic posts where you explain what a .rar file is, the concepts of basic computing (i.e. how to use the Google search function) and give out contact details for local computing 101 classes in their areas?
