    Default Land Unit Stats Editor v0.1

    Hi All,

    Here's the quick and dirty land unit stats editor I promised.



    Some notes:

    - Works only on unpacked unit_stats_land
    - Works ONLY on unit_stats_land - no Naval units yet
    - Allows you to modify the stats in the unit_stats_land db table
    - Doesn't modify any other files (ie upkeep, etc)
    - When changing any stats you MUST click the commit button to save them to the in-memory copy. If you dont then your changes wont be saved.

    You need .NET Framework 2.0 installed to use this. Has been tested only on XP 32bit.

    If you change any of the values below the "Dont change anything below this line" I have absolutely no guarantee that you wont break your game horribly!

    With that said, enjoy. Credits to LtChambers and Scanian for helping me work out the file formats. We aren't done yet but getting there!

    Awesome work, now if you can make one for upkeep / cost and build time it would be beyond awesome.

    Hmmm. Any reason why it reverts the edits when you exit out?

    should be sticked. Are you planning to continue you work on this tool? If so, you'd be the first Modder's god on these forums

    Would it be possible to add an option to edit the firing ranges of the units? Could at least make those damn native archers a bit more on equal footing with my line inf.

    im changing the stats, ive dropped the .exe in the unit_stats_land_tables

    its the stats in game arent changing

    Looks nice, I'm about to try it.

    Add in the ability to edit the other db tables into this thing, and CA might not need to give us their DB editor, still would be nice if they did though.

    EDIT

    While looking through the unit list, I found the special edition units, and, apparently, there's one called sp_ed_wild_geese. Any ideas on what that is?

    yes and when i open the editor the stats are still edited but in-game they are not

    You can't just edit the tables file and leave it in the db folder, it needs to be re-packed back into the pack files for it to be recognized. Either that or the entire pack needs to be unpacked, and then move the original pack to a backup directory.

    This program does work, like a charm . You first have to unpack unit_stats_land from the patch.pack open that up with LandUnitsEditor change what you want click the commit button then save and replace the old unit_stats_land and then repack that file with a program like PackFileManager.
