Need help, when you unpack for example main.pack, where do I unpack it ? Right into data or do I make a folder in the data folder named main?
And, how the HELL do I pack the folder again ?

Hi thanks for your unpacker repacker, I am trying to change a file in sounds_music, its a wav file, the drum march sound to the grenedier one, I open the folder inside sound_music to where the wav file is with unpacker 1.3, i can locate the file i want to replace, i right click and select replace, and replace it with the grenedier drum march file which i named the same as the file i want to replace, it turns red in the list in the unpacker 1.3 gui. I save it then place it in the data folder but it didnt work. So i opened the sound_music.pack file i just amended navigate to the folder the file was in, and it is there but instead of ending in .wav, it ends in .wav.bak
What have I done wrong
edit: its ok it works now cheers

"Yeah tho I walk through the valley of the shadow of death; I shall fear no evil... for I'm the meanest sonofa in the valley."
Is it possible to mod the campaign map yet? Like add textures to it etc.
is it worth unpacking every pack file there is?
Some people say it speeds up loading times...
Hi, I have small problem.
I want to install the sound mod here: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...50#post4659650 but in order to do so I have to replace several files in the sounds_sfx.pack.
But I do not want to unpack the complete pack and then just overwrite the files needed to be changed nor do I want to exchange each file manually because there are over thirty files to be exchanged.
So is there any way to add files to a pack and the unpack overwrites them if they already exist in the pack?
Could you add this feature? Would be much better for replacing a huge number of files.
Where do i download this from?
How do you open this program?? i have tried the sourceforge.net and get this error: "This project has not released any files." and i cannot download the program
I have also have tried the window binary version and have got the binary file ok, but you cannot open file? what am i doing wrong here??
You want to download the binary version. If you have trouble downloading the program by clicking on it. Try to RIGHT click on the link and select 'save target as' or 'save link as' depending on what browser you are using.
It will then download an exe file and all you have to do is to run it once saved on your hard drive.
will unpacking the files make the game loading any faster?
I can not save. Everytime I save...it just go "Not Responding"
Can someone point me to a guide for this? Thanks
I tried use your stuff, but after repack patch.pack, game hung on sturtup.
(I only open original patch.pack, save it with different name, and replace with it the original file in the game folder)
I have xp/32 sp3. (use Pack File Manager 1.3 rev 4)
Whats wrong?
You simply have to download the binary (PackFileManager.exe).
In order to start the programm, the .NET Framework 3.5 is required (Download from here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...1-508d977d32a6)
If the .NET Framework is installed, you should be able to start the un/packer.
