How do I take something across the sea?

I want to take land from Sweden but dont know how to cross the sea. Do I need special ships?

put your army inside the harbor( or port it's called i think) and also your ships need to be there,select all the units you want that are in the port/harbor and than click exchange or whatever it's called on the right of them,than select your land units and press the arrow button in the middle and voila,your ships are full of men,only watch out for pirates,if your ships sink with them on it they are goners...

Or just put a ship next to land and target it with army and walk them on it...simple
