Thread: schweinhaxe screens

After admiring the many amazing screenshots in the various threads of the Pic of the Day section, I've been inspired to take some of my own screens. Until now though, I've been reluctant to post them as they are but mere Polaroids compared to the many masterpeices in the other threads. I figured I'd share them anyway. Most are from my various ongoing campaigns and some from custom battles(I've been playing with the movie cam after garnering tips from the master photographers here).

Here's the first batch: from my Rome campaign- Oh and btw, I'm not much of a storyteller as you'll soon find out, so you may have to make up some of your own stories for my pics.

Some from my Germania campaign. I forgot to add, some of my pics are from before I knew how to disable the banners, sorry.

No problem. They quickly learn how to dispose of of the pikemen

If you're wondering, at the beginning of my Ger campaign I transplanted all my combat troops and generals to sunny Greece to start anew(I've played Germania twice before and wanted to do somthing different.)

wow the tribes of britain screen is very cool. The mixed units look great, wish units were really like that. Noticed the swords on some men were massive though, what mod is it? they are like baseball bats :lol

I'm using RTR stock. I forgot the name of the Brit unit with the oversized swords though. Heavy Swordsmen? or Longswordsmen, maybe. Can't.....remember.....

If you highlight the text and hit the quote button, it quotes. *wink*

A suggestion, go to preferences.txt in the main RTW directory, and change "UNIT_BANNERS:TRUE" to, "UNIT_BANNERS:FALSE".

Great pics! :cool

apparently I can't figure out the quote function :blink

Yeah, some of my earlier pics are going to have the banners. They were before I learned(from you guys here) how to de-activate them.

Thanks for the compliment. Coming from you, it means a lot.

Right on! I did the typed in quote thing a while myself.

I also suggest getting some kind of photoediting program. They have a list of free ones at the top of the page. *wink*

@mad monkey,
thanks.

@Centurion Quintus,
Yeah, I have MS Picture It! Photo Premium 9. Not too good at it yet. Just now learning what anti-aliasing is and still trying to figure out how to smooth the edges with this program. May take a while. :wack Til then......Also not helping is the fact that I'm colorblind. No joke. :blush

Anyway, while I'm here.... here's a couple from the grab bag,

The rest of the battle is the usual phalanx vs Roman skirmishers, infantry and cavalry micro management.
