Thread: Huge potential but where to start?

Default Huge potential but where to start?

I can now understand why CA said ETW will be harder to mod, just on scale and game depth will make modding it a nightmare! Lets hope those CA tools take way most of the pain ..

Game has huge potential though, I can see a Roman Republic in the political side alone!

Where to start? ... wait for CA tools!

I dream of a Roman mod, especially on this engine. Yea, being able build a Roman republic and then in times of trouble change to a dictatorship sounds great.

I'm playing RTI while we get this thing unpacked without issues, though I'm worried about the automatic updating causing us problems.

Other valve games has tons of mods and they never experience any problem in regards to mods.

CA said its harder to mod, cause they know the modder must start from begin.

For example units. Fram 350 units in the game, I mean the modders must change 300. This is a work for months.

I created the King's Banner mod, so I know what I'm talking about.

I would start by adding the missing units to the game, selfmade of course so noone can claim its piracy. Infact im really dissapointed with this policy, would you have paid extra for getting the praetorian guard or spartan hoplites in rome?

Surely you're joking. At least 2-3 years.

Sig, would love to see your meshes and skins ported to ETW. ETW should make it simplier to do a Roman Republic government as well as allowing Navies.
