8600gt is a pretty weak card. I have it too.

I upgraded from a 8600GT earlier this week to a 9800GTX. In the demo I went from running it on medium/low with mediocre frame rate and now I can run the full game on high/ultra as long as I don't use the largest unit scale. The 8600GT was never a very good card, it was basically obsolete even when it was first released.

I think there's a big difference between the 8800 GTX and the 8600 GT...

The 8800 GTX is similar to my 9800 GT, and I can run the game on very pretty settings.

Well since were talking about graphic cards and specs what do you guys think i should upgrade next?
    Vista 32 bit
    3070mb ram
2 CPU's running at 2.66ghz and says ~2.7ghz so i think thats what its runing like or somthing.
    8800gtx
Basiclly if you look over my specs my graphic cards all i can upgrade. cause 32bit cant have more ram and if i add anything else i'd be better off getting a whole new pc. So what grapihc cards are out now that are good? 200$ is my budget on a card.

thats cause 32bit O/S can only handle 3.5gb you want to uttilze the full 4gb you have to go 64bit.

This page says different. Perhaps you mean the maximum address space of a process?

Hmm I've been told regardless of what my pc says i have it really only has 3070mb of ram that can be used. It's possible to have more but 32 bit can only use 3070mb at one time. Local computer repair shops were im getting this info from.

it depends on the (PAE) physical address extension

some boards will show more then 3gig ie 3.5gig it all depends. to solve this completely run 64bit os.

Well perhaps they don't know everything. 64-bit is the way forward
