Road to independence Crash

My grand campaign seems to work fine, but whenever i try to play the Road to Independence, i can get through the first game where i fight a bunch of native americans, but after i win the battle, it takes me to a load screen that jumps to 1/5th on the bar and just stucks there. If i wait for about 10min or so, the game crashes to windows.

I tried it about 5 times already and same thing ever single time... Is anyone else having this problem? Any work arounds??? Thanks...
