CTD when loading campaign

Anyone else having this problem? Played through about 20 campaign turns last night with no issues then today get ctd when attempting to load or continue any save. I'm playing the boxed version on xp. Would a reinstall help? other than that i'm out of ideas. all drivers and os are up to date.

Tried a simple restart? You would be suprised what it can solve.

Yeh restarted a few times but still crashing.
