    I got the same! WTF???

I hope this is just a joke or a bug that could be fixed immediately, otherwise this will be a scandal.

Yes! This is beyond imaginable. New game from one of the biggest publisher(SEGA) and brand new game is crashing...

I knew that STEAM was a bad idea from the first moment.

Well, try updating any and all drivers, closing non-essential programs (via task manager), and then, as a very last resort, you could try a format of your system and a fresh OS install.

Hah well, I've got 10+ games installed on STEAM, although ETW is the biggest in size. Why would I have to format my system to make it work? This makes no sense.

I buy a game for money --> I should be able to pay it.

Oh, I agree completely, it's complete crap that this is happening. I'm just saying it's an option if you really want it to work. I personally don't think it's worth it.

    Try:
    Updating DirectX

    Updating NET framework

Drivers(graphics, soundcard if you have one etc.)

    RESTART.

It's extremely common for TW games to crash when new. It's not Steam, it's not Sega... it's just how the industry is.

You guys would be more helpful if you posted your system specs and the details (when exactly it crashes).

I think its just like with GTA 4, where a lot of people couldnt make it work. I could from the start^^.

You guys realise that Steam isnt actualy used to run the game right?

So the people in here ing about it should maybe be posting their system specs in order to see what hardware or software the game is having trouble with.

For instance Dawn of War 2 had severe issues with 32 bit vista and would crash a lot if you didnt have effects and effects fidelity set below medium.

We worked that one out within an hour of getting the game and a patch was relaesed 2-3 days later thats helped the problem.

Sitting and blaming steam to make yourself feel better isnt going to get any of your games working is it?

well i think its a problem just on Steam *thats my idea* hopefully the dvd copy will not have that issue *at least thats the one i bought* or Creative Assembly should really start working on a patch

lol. the #1 cause of CTD's is either bad video drivers or bad video cards.

But if it's happening just now with ETW and updated drivers for multiple people, what then?
