    Default Improved UI + Demo Mod

    This is technically a release and a WIP. I have things to release but I will also be continuing to update this. When I can I will be releasing new unit card backgrounds as well as some new map pictures as well.

    *****This is essentially a BETA*****
    The first thing that I have done is improve the UI so that you can tell which cards you have selected better. It went over quite well with the Demo so I am release it for the full game as well.

    I have included the other changes that I made to the Brandywine battle in the Demo as it should work in the same way for the official game. Please let me know if there are any installation issues. And remember, always back up overwritten files!

    1. American's playable at Brandywine.
    2. Deployment phase for both armies.
    3. Twice the number of men on the battlefield (all units 2x bigger)
    4. Improved HUD review panel to make it easier to see which units are selected.

    BACK UP THESE ORIGINAL FILES!
    Installation
    1. take the 'battle_of_brandywine.xml' file and put it in data/scenarios.
    2. take 'hud_group_pannel_marbil1.tga' and 'hud_review_mat_marble1.tga' and put them in data/ui/battle ui/skins.
    3. Delete the battle_of_brandywine.battle_script in data/scenarios. (actually dont delete it, but move it out of the folder)

    click yes to overright on these.

    I can't find any of those folders Can you be more explicit?

    for some reason the UI folders are all empty, and there is no skin folder. I built this off of the unpacked demo, so I think we will have to wait for the unpacker to come out for the game because I don't know how to work with the packs.

    One thing you could try is going into data/ui/battle ui and making a folder called 'skins' and putting the ui files in there and seeing if it works.

    Nope it doesnt work if it isnt unpacked, just tried to create that skins folder and put the files there
    A shame, looks like a well needed mod, the white background in vanilla is just not a good fit with white selection ovals

    ok i finally got it - to install this mod download the mode here - http://www.mediafire.com/?ndmzodtkzaj - and then extract it to - C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\empire total war\data

    enjoy.

    oh good that forum actually allows threads now.

    Can a mod please move this thread? I think it'd be better then making a new one.
