Thread: V1-V3 Romuli fan thread

    Default V1-V3 Romuli fan thread

Okay so, I'm playing as the hispanic tribes about 20 turns in. I've conquered most of south east ibellica, have a nice line of border forts with the pirates and the valentines, so I decide to attack tahar.

At the border I find myself open to hire a bunch of mercenaries, so me imagining an awesome raiding party of desert mercenaries, I hire the whole lot and send em north to occupy the Taharian army. Works beautifully, I ambush the buggers and whipe em' out. So, my mercenary captain gets a promotion, and I'm all happy 'cus that means I can hire more mercs.

Next turn he's married to some Romulan skank. Then the very turn after that, he's blue, so me wondering why he suddenly changed to the scippii, I highlight him and realize he's the new heir to the empire. All I could say was huh, the romulans are going to follow some dirty desert mercenary captain, what a stroke of luck for the bloke.

(BTW if you were interested my army ended up getting crushed during a siege, so I need to rethink my strategy)

    nice
i had something similar in my dracule campaign. The second son of my king got married to a German prinsess, he turned over to the Faustain reich and 4 turns later he became emperor 5 turns later he got killed when the French took over castle Barbarossa I took revenge and sacked the French capital, killing the French king in the progress

Never kill a son of my leader(even if he deserted), you will regret it!

I was thinking of opening a fan thread for Romuli but didn't want to make it look stupid because I was the creator of the most roman units but it's good that someone did it
As for the units I like them all but stay tuned more will come i ver 2 and I must say that the romuli leader is for me the best one I have done and the praetorian arquerbus (all black) + the spartans

Consul Cakius is an excellent leader in the field for my legions. I'll agree and say the Roman units are amazingly well done, though my only bother is with their location so far south on those large plains.

So far I've been undefeated with these skilled warriors, and after Lao Che is defeated I'll move onto the Aztecs. I've allied with the Holy Order of the Pale Knights, just to assure I won't have to backtrack for the moment. The Christian nations are deeply engaged with the Islamic nation-states, with little progress being made on either side with the exception of Avalon's expansion.

In moment's two or three armies march into enemy lands, putting up siege to two or three settlements. Thankfully I've not had to exterminate or sack any cities, but after taking Demos from the Uruk's I was quite tempted to!

I'm a slight worried that the further away from the home front I go, the more native units I'll have to integrate into my formations. So far that hasn't been the case, but I could not resist using one Uruk company in my ranks.

I recently decided to get BF 2142 which still has a large audience. I'm a sucker for huge battles. I should be back in Thera soon!
