Rise of a Warlord
You have become a man, yet an unrecognized male by nobility, you are an inspirational speaker and have shown talent in battle. You've rallied a small band of brothers together with your limited funds and set forth to prove your worth as a military commander and warrior, following one dream and one dream alone; you will have your name carved in the stones of history, by blood and iron you will be remembered.
In this tournament, you will select a nation upon registration. This will be yours until either glory is yours or the bloody handed mistress of death grips you by the throat with an iron grip, dragging you screaming to the underworld.
You must carve your way through other neighboring tribal and civilized aspiring warlords.
Details
You will lead your chosen nation against other predetermined opponents. The first rounds will difficult and hard fought, your troop roster is limited and the amount of denarii you have is rather small. Upon winning and gaining access to the next round, your funds will increase as will the type of troops available to you.
The troops available to you for the round will be privately messaged to you and unknown to your opponent. You will not know what type of troops he has available either. This is to put an unknown effect into action, should a Roman know what to expect from a Dacian or what type of troops or tactics they will employ upon first contact? No, thus this restriction on information.
This tournament will deal in rounds, it will not be held at a specific day. This will allow players normally left out of tournaments to compete due to timezones.
Rounds will last a week and you will have that time to play your opponents.
Rules
- Limited troop choices in early rounds, elite troops become available in later rounds.
- First rounds are very low denarii, to simulate you beginning your career.
- Restricted Information on what units are available, you will not know what units your enemy has available and vice versa.
- One week per round. You must play your designated enemies in this time frame.
- Strict enforcement on troop roster limitations, if you deviate or break the rules, you will be handicapped by losing denarii for your next battle.
- Rules will change per round, to avoid imbalance once more powerful troops and higher denarii is available.

A captain in your army brandishes the severed head of a messenger sent hours ago to the nearby hostile force, requesting their withdrawl from this land. Battle formations commence.
You will play each opponent once. This rounds up to four battles each for round one.
- Your denarii limit for this battle is 3k.
- No more than 4 max of the same unit type.
- The units you can use will be sent to you via personal message.
